Great choice of car for a wedding day :D. Only problem is with the bride wearing her dress it will be a tight fit in the bucket seats. I could do it but wait till it gets closer to the date because having a modded GTR its hard to guarantee everything will still be working on that date. Have a backup GTR as standby. Cant risk anything going wrong on that day. Goodluck bro..

Hi,

It looks like you've got options over White, Silver, Black or Bayside Blue now. Congratulations on your big day coming up!

Do you think it might be a good idea now to...

i) set up a budget plan and put it to the Forum guys as to whether you can afford 2>1, 3>2 or 4>3 as bang for your bucks?

ii) ensure that the destinations in town and at Fairfield have looow driveways to accommodate looow front lips on these cars?

iii) set up an interview &/or meeting so that there's no hitch in where the drivers meet on Nov 1st and at what time?

iv) co-ordinate dress code for the drivers?

v) organise ribbons to be exactly the same?

vi) arrange for drivers to keep the passenger window down for photographing bridal party (since most windows are tinted heaps)

vii) arrange for drivers to keep passenger seat forward for ease of access

viii) pray for a fine day so that these R34 GTRs stay looking sweet and

ix) in case of rain, buy mud flaps for car #1 so he doesn't spray dirty road water onto car #2 etc

Have Fun Planning It!

Cheers!

holy crap, didnt expect this many replies. Thanks for all the replies and ideas guys. Gonna talk the the boss and see what she thinks about it all :(

theres me and the missus plus 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids, so thats 12. I'm thinking 4 cars, 4 people in each car. Was only really thinking about 1 34 GTR as we have 2 33 GTS25t's and 1 GT-T already, but if the price is right more would be great!

As you can probably tell me and the missus love skylines hehe only reason I haven't got my own GTR is because have had to save up for the wedding.

Anyway, will get back to u all soon

Thanks again :D

Id think abit more about trying to fit 4 formal dressed adults into a skyline.

your going to need a 4door or a stagea.

IMHO you and the missus should be in the gtr(s) and the bridal party can go 4door gtt styles

    • 12+ months passed so they have no obligation to do a warranty claim. It leaked from the rear circuit. Front circuit was fine, but I tried many times to bench-bleed and in-car bleed (wasted 1L of Penrite racing brake fluid) to no avail. Threw my old BM50 or whatever the standard R32 GT-R BMC is, brakes went back to normal. So from my very limited anecdotal experience, I cannot recommend HFM, even though a lot of their products looks good. Just my experience (I have a genuine Nissan BM57 in a box waiting to be installed now).
    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
