i know steering issues are a common problem with 32's and hicas is usually the thing the messes everything but i have read a few posts but don't really seem to be the same as my problem. what happens is when i start the car the steering is all good but after driving for about a minute or less the steering just goes all hard. it doesn't get any harder or anything like that it just keeps a constant hardness.

the steering wheel also is turned a tad to the right to keep the car straight. maybe a alignment issue?

anyway waht is the problem as its kinda pissing me off lol...like i can drive fine with it but just want to know how to fix it? thanks

You are heading in the right direction. Your power steering module is faulting, going into a failsafe condition. Hicas / power steering module same same.

Do a hicas diagnostic and see what it is, probably steering angle sensor, as it thinks you are driving in circles.

Your hicas fault light should be on though, maybe blown globe / disconnected / wiring fault? Will be impossible to do the diagnostic until you get that sorted.

just been reading few osme posts and mines differnet cause my steering wheel doesn't turn to the left after 80kmh, i haven't lost all power steering and it doesn't get harder as i drive. but i have a feeling its just all about the hicas.

does changing the steering wheel have any effect on hicas?

will lockbar be the best way to go?
