That does look the business ^^^ for interests sake, are they equal length? I am assuming that this equal length stuff is due to frequencies of the exhaust. Frequencies of gases flowing through pipes is based on length (from what I remember from engineering) if you have two different lengths with the ends of the pipes next to eachother you might have interference between the two outlets, maybe, which could be bad because... I am not sure...

Besides the weight and space issues (which can be overcome) I think a full twin 2.5"-3" would be fantastic in terms of performance... and sound. Definately something I am interested in and will consider when upgrading my turbos.

Mike

blk180 thats the same as mine.

How good is the note!

Yeah it is loud and low but well worth it think.

As far as I know these exhausts are tuned length, otherwise yes the frequencies can disrupt each other if not the same length and power is lost...think about tuned length 6 and V8 extractors, the most expensive are tuned length and give the nest results.

Hey Mat, have u had a chance to get pics of it on ur car yet??

I'm kind of looking into getting one made up at work, but cause of costs and time etc im not 100%

And also because its twin, for tuning purposes where does the wideband sensor sit?

Yeah its a very tight fit.

I previously had 2 x 2.5 into 3, 3inch cat, HKS super dragger catback, which was 3.2 off the back of the cat getting bigger to 3.7 before the rear muffler.

The current exhaust is twin 2.5 all the way through.

What happened between the old & new exhaust in regards to the cat?

Its likely thats where most of your gains came from as there are a few cars even running stock dumps and making over 300rwkw without a drama

Just gotta get rid of the ole pussy gato!

Yeah you can get the Apexi N1 Dual for 33 GTSt, I know access autoworks had them a while back...

There wouldnt really be much point in having a dual from the cat back on a single turbo engine would there?

Twins do look pretty cool though.

Well yes they look cool and they would probably save you some ride height, 3.5" vs the height of a 2.5" see what I'm getting at?
