Well, I am currently taking an extended vacation, so I can do anytime, as long as advanced notice is given.

The car has been complied with HID intact and also is rego-ed. I spent this arvo putting on the front grille, clear side blinkers, bonnet gas struts and a cold air induction kit. I broke a few things along the way so I'll start a new thread and provide some pics with some commentary.

...Was a bit disappointed that the CF radiator top air difusser didn't fit properly on the sedan though....

Hmm, I should put my nickname on my details section such that u guys dun have to type out siu_loong_bao all the time.

proper compliance workshop shouldn't leave it intact... sounds a bit dodgy, I hope they do everything properly or it could cause headache down the way, not trying to scare you but sh1t does happen around... but at least half your troubles is gone as it's been rego'ed.

I think those air diffusers are more gimmicks than actually works...

Oh and we can call you Nelly if you want :P

Rianto, are you working on Monday (tomorrow)? Would be good just to compare keys as I am struggling to find even the same key model both on ebay Aust and ebay US....

I work every day, we're in the middle of technical go live with a project

before you buy any blank keys, talk to chris rogers on this forum because changing keys in v35 is not the same or as straight forward as in r32 33 34.

So is anyone up for a small get together and cruise yet?

How about say Saturday 25th of July, have a get together and then cruise somewhere. Just to meet some of the other members and socialise in person for a bit! :)

All V's and M's owners that wish to come!!!

Any interest this time?

Rianto, we can do the meet at your place and say G'day to the bub! Hehe...

Maybe not a cruise then...but definitely a meeting spot with a big carpark (hassle-free parking) would be good...

previously some areas with large public parking would be around albert park, or somewhere near the Como park... but that's more suitable to people who live in southeast areas...

not sure about the west, I'm only here about 1 year... so perhaps somewhere at the far end of sunshine central but depending what day/time it could be very packed though.... or I'm not sure if opposite VUT Footscray there's a big public car park which probably is a bit ample during weekends, although it's a gravel car park so I just hope no mindless idiot in their RWD shitbox gets interested, pops in and doing doughnuts with gravel flying everywhere...

talk about stone chips and cracked windshields...

or what about horse shoe bend park's viewing area? I saw that area a couple of times when I past keilor park drive, seems to be a good viewing spot with ample space...

Yeah, just a meet and no cruise is good!!!

Where are we all at? Are we all over the place?

I'm in Carlton!

Carlton? hm....

how about Garage Cafe?

never been there so dunno how big their inside car park is, although food probably not the best said my friends...

How about Saturday 25th of July at say 2:30pm.

We'll catch up at Garage Cafe, have a coffee and a chat, etc.

Who can make it?

If a few cannot make it, we could always make it another day.

Let us know!!!

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
