This has to be the shortest time between yellow stickers ever...

Got my original yellow sticker off last friday morning, had my car broken into and a heap of stuff stolen (seat, guages, gear knob etc..)

Replaced seat and window on tuesday night so I could drive it again

Got a yellow sticker again Wensday morning...

Car is as it was when it went over the pits except with a replacement gtr seat and didnt have a gear knob on at the time, was picking a new one up that day.

Told the officers that it went over the pits only a few days ago and showed them the reciept for it, was told "we are not happy with that inspection"

This one im not taking!!! if whoever is in charge of them does not remove the yellow im lawyering up!!!!

find out what district there from and speak to the snr sargent at the station, sounds like harasment to me.

bad luck mate!

similar to your problem my mate got yellow after 1 hr owning his car.

and in that 1 hour he was in the licensing center changing ownership...

drove right out of the licensing centre and the cop stoped him.

call the general police line on 131444 and explain what happened

your car passed on friday - there should be some substance behind the peice of paper that says your car is roadworthy

tell them the officers names and make sure you tell the person on the phone that you showed the officers your receipt

if the police arent happy with the DPI - licensing vehicle inspection units then that is not your responsibility.

your car was deemed roadworthy. end of story.

don't know the answer to your question but i wouldn't pay for another inspection, especially if the car went over as is only a few days earlier...

f*cking feel sorry for you man having it broken into and everything then having to source all the parts then to have this happen to you, quite unfair...

should have what station they are from on the work order copy they gave you...

and yeah, ask to speak to the senior sergeant...

think the easiest way is to call the operator then ask for the station and once you talk to them ask for senior sergeant?

*shrugs*

Mate, thats stupid!! I'd fight it to the end. What is it with you? Your a cop magnet!! Good luck getting rid of it

Tell me about it!!! had the car back on the road for maybe 2 months now and mannaged to get 2 yellows and have it broken into with a heap off stuff stolen in that time... not cool

Isn't it ironic that a car like yours which is mechanically running well, the body is in good nick and there is nothing obviously wrong with the car can get yellowed that many times in such a short period, and yet how often do we all see bombs on the road that are belching smoke or panels bent out of shape etc, and yet none of them get stickered.

*shrugs* make the calls, let us know what happens

sorry to hear man and thats some shit luck

but

doubt your gonna win, cops can sticker you if they deem it unroadworthy

cops and pits are to seperate departments and you cant prove you didnt modify the car since you passed pits

easier to just rock up to pits and pay $84.50 and pass it and keep driving

Ive paid 10-15 visits in 2 years, suckkkkkkkk balllllsssssss

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
