Thanks for the support fellas.

Obelisk, I got your email, but I've just spent the last 24 hours on planes coming back from Japan, so I'll get back to you tomorrow probably. My first impression is that with no service records, and no record either way of accident history, it would probably be a fairly risky proposition, although it does look pretty sexy with those rims :)

Hi there, welcom back to Australia~~~

I can understand that u must be very tired. So, plz have a good rest before start ur job! Healthy is more important than anything else!

There are lots of guys said that u are so good at importing business, and I can wait for a while because I still need to prepare my exam in uni until 4th July. So, I guess we may have plenty of time to do our business.

During these day, I hope u can answer these question to help me to get a better understanding of what I'm dealing with:

1.Can I have some more photos for that R34 GTT such as interiod and outside? I want to have a better understanding what I'm dealing with.

2.What about the quility of that car? Is there accident or any other damanges on that car? could u give me a list about everything have been changed on that car? And can u guys promise me that R34 GTT is under a good condition?

3.I talked about that car with some of my friends a few days ago and they told me that because there is no airbag in the steering wheel, I have to pay some extra charge to change it into original ones or I even cant import it to Adelaide, is that ture?

4.If u guys import that car for me, do u have to change some parts on that car? because I really like the GTR FRONT BUMPER,the GTR CARBON BONNET and the NEW CST 17IN ALUMINUM WHEELS, so can u guys try to keep all of them?

5., What is the finally price for that car? Does the price NEGOTIABLE?

6.Where can I find u guys in Adelaide? I checked on the web but I cant find ur location......

Sorry, I guess I asked too many questions~~~I'll be quite happy if u can answer all my question! Thanks a lot!

Regard

Andy

^^lol Obelisk has copied his email into a post on here, never realised he'd done it.

Just to update, not sure if Obelisk will be back on here to post pics up, but keep an eye out for a white R34 with CF bonnet and 18" AVS model 5s terrorising the streets of Adelaide, with an Iron Chef sticker on the back haha.

It's not the one in the original pics with the GT-R front bar, by the way, that's actually the same dealer who did the switcheroo on Jenkk's car, so they won't ever be getting my business again.

i bought my R34 from Sinergy motorsports /Rocco but i have mixed feelings about the place. Rocco is pretty good but the other guys are a bit anal.

but my car is pretty clean, grade 4 car i would say.

dont buy a 34 without an airbags, it wont pass regency and will cost heaps to get one for it. plus might have been wrecked in Japan

Sinergy is great, prices are high but great cars. My olds purchased their V35 through them and they gave them excellent service, nothing but praise. Rob, the guy who owns the place is a top bloke, so is Rocco, however River, the salesman is a tosser and just acts like a general assclown. Had I known more at the time however I probably would have gotten Kristian to import it but there's always my next car :)

+1

he completely put me off buying there when i was looking for a car.

You want me to order that R35 through Nissan Japan for you now or later? lol

I actually think we're pretty lucky in Adelaide with the general standards of cars in import dealerships. Sinergy have a lot of very nice cars in their yard (yes I do check every now and again!), so do Redline. Common sense suggests that if businesses have been around for a while, they're obviously getting the right cars in. Adelaide's a small place!

Hey Obelisk,

Ive seen the listing for that car, nice car by the looks of it :D

I am currently in the process of importing an R33 at the moment with Kristian from Iron Chef Imports, hes a good guy and his reputation reflects the high quality of his service.

I think u r right and hes really nice because I actually chang my mind and choose another R34 from he a few days ago. Thats a real good quality car!!!

is SCI run by the same rocco who owns sinergy motorsport?

Hahahaha Rocco @ Sinergy is a bit of a character.

Sinergy have a good collection of cars. I can't say anything good about Redline after a mate of mine purchased a N/A 93 Supra from there and had nothing but issues.

I was speaking to a dude from Redline and he asked "What do you drive?" and I said "94 32 GTR, imported through Iron Chef Imports" and the guy had a blank look on his face and said "R32's stopped production in 1992 and Iron Chef is a TV show, not a Import Yard"

After that, I walked out.

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
