OK, I guess I have to come along, mmmgtir, shoot me your details & I'll sort the deposit

I'll head down on Tue morning too.

As far as the meet goes, 7.30 at the Pheasants Nest Mobil will give us plenty of time to get there before 9am (Pheasants Nest is about 1hr from CBD, so its a fair way down).

Just confirm the time when you are sure.

hey Mark,

They decided to leave from that Pheasants nest at 6:30am.

hey Mark, Whats the chance you could pick up BigBogan Dave from Penrith on your way over mate?

I really dont wanna have to drive an hour from my house to penrith, then all the way back???

Let me know mate.

Now which skyline guys are coming?

I need someone to come out on a couple of laps in my car and show me how to drift. last time I had a few tries and worked to some degree, got sideways, but then I lost it 3 times on the big corner before the pits. so hopefully someone will be able to guide me.

hey Mark, what about picking Dave up?

Can you do that? If not its cool.

But anyway, that last corner just hit 2nd gear, then full throttle and I'm sure You'll have some oversteer dude. :)

Good man Duncan. :)

So, that leaves one spot. Any of you guys have friends you want to ask?

Just 5 more sleeps ;)

just 5 more sleeps and im looking shaky.. the car may not be right to take on the track. Will be doing my best to make it... will keep you posted.

If i can bum a lift off someone i would still like to come.

Its not one thing...thats the problem.

i need to get some shielding going for the turbo so not to melt half the wiring in my engine bay, need to tidy up some plumbing, new tyres.

On top of that it looks like im going to have to pay a place to wire up my injectors as i cant find a wiring diagram to help me wire up the resistor pack for the GTR injectors i have. Then i have to check the engine isnt leaning out.

It might be 5 more sleeps but i will have to stay busy, its probably easier to throw the stock turbo/manifold back on for the day:(

see how you go roy. im very close to coming down. i have a day in leiu owing to me and i have to take it soon before they forget about it...i know how my car goes around wakefield already so thats why im a little hesitant, if i had my damn camber kit in, id be in. i'll see how it goes...

Franks, there's a place left with your name on it :uh-huh:

You'd make me a happy man to have all my places filled.

Let me know mate.

Roy, hope you are able to get it sorted in time.

    • Great work! Thanks for documenting the process.
    • How would you even adjust the clutch if the pedal already has the correct free play? The operating cylinder has no adjustment in mounting position or rod length. On pull style clutches there is also no ability to adjust the bearing carrier. Push type I can see how adjusting the carrier height makes it all work.   If this is the twin plate clutch did you verify that your friction disks were oriented correctly? It's not mentioned in the directions at all you just have to notice that one side the friction disks have a part number on the hub fingers and a subtle coning to those fingers. Another thing that I noticed was if you put the friction disks in backwards the pressure plate fingers will not be even and flat when the clutch is installed.
    • yeah, mechanically, it is probably do-able, off the top of my head, there would be the transfer case, which I believe will bolt up to the rear of the RWD transmission, the shorter rear tail shaft. A front drive shaft, front diff, engine upper sump, front drive shafts, front hubs and front AWD struts (they are shaped around the front drive shafts), LCAs (at the very least from the front suspension) oil cooler.  You might want the rear diff from an AWD too, so you can be certain the front and rear diff rations are identical.  Who knows what brackets and mounts you might need.  So a whole doner car might be the best option if you need to maintain RHD. Then actually making it work, that would be a whole different story.
    • Take the fall as a warning sign for future endeavours  Stay safe mate
