Changing My Thread Title

Hi.. anyone (mods perhaps):

I noticed that I could not change the thread title once I posted it.

I know you can go to Edit, then change the subject there. However, after I press submit, I went back to the section and see the title, it does not change.

The reason I ask is I saw some other people CAN actually do it, especially in For Sale section, e.g. changing from:

"SAFC For Sale $350" to "SAFC For Sale $350 - SOLD"

If I do that, my thread will still be there with the old subject.

errr. in this page it shows that I have changed the subject, but if I go back to the section, the thread still says:

"Changing My Thread Title" without the "Test Changed 10.09pm"

Noticed that at first, I can still see the changes in the section, when no replies has been posted to the thread. but afterwards not.

What could have been the problem? Server Cache?

The threads that have been changed to say SOLD might have been done by a mod??

I don't think normal users can change their thread titles, but I might be wrong...

and i can't test it out for you, cos I'm errr.. a mod LOL

its been like that from day1 - wouold be good to be able to change topics... i just delete my post and start again if i stuff it.
