EVOIV, I am pretty sure that the afm wont be hindering airflow at the sort of power I am aiming for (300rwkwish), if I run out of resolution, I will just upgrade to an infinity 90mm:D

Off boost the car is more responsive than it was with the stock turbs on. I think it probably has alot to do with the manifold flowing so much better than the stock one. Also I had side facing throttle body before, so the switch to front may be helping. I have just posted a dyno print out from today up on the 'apart from tilbrooks.....' thread. I like it alot. Makes 1 bar under 3000rpm.

Next mods, plenum (Evan), have cams (256/264 HKS step one) and adj cam gear for the exhaust with a 1.6mm HKS metal head gasket and oil cooler sitting patiently and waiting to go on, - then will be the time for some real boost:D I also have plans for some DBA rotors in the not too distant future, some nittos, HICAS removal bar, decent seats which seem to be very hard to find in good condition second hand...... the list goes on, you know how it is:D

Hey steve. U know how u said u wanna heat wrap the dump. Just curious to how much of the dump are u goin to cover. I want to do this, but i think i only have enought heat wrap to maybe cover 50-60cm. Is this worth doing, or do u cover the entire front and dump??

Thanks mate!

Hippy, no

Dean, 50cm aint much, but it can only help. I would think its better to get right down out of the engine bay, helps keep heat out of there. Doing the entire dump and front pipe couldnt hurt

The AF ratios are at 11.8:1, a little richer just as she comes onto boost though - so nice and safe:)

She's comin' along real nice Steve. Top job!

I'd put money on it cracking the 300rwkw mark once the gasket, cams & gear are done mate.

Oh yeah, like the others have said, get some shiny bits in there! You need a bit of rice in the bay :) I polished my covers but I'm getting them done again @ the same time as the cam belt cover.

Just seems to be so many other more important things to get sorted first.

Yeah the list is nearly never ending. If I was keeping my car then I had about 10 more major rounds of mods planned!

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
