I have been building up my R33GTST sedan for a few years now, its recently had an RB26 & manual conversion and just this week a single turbo/injectors (Trust TD07 & sard 700cc) upgrade and goes in for tuning to matt spri @ PITS next week. So after this is done and ive had a bit of fun with it i am looking at selling it on but i dont know what i should be asking. I have made a gallery with some pics .... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ga...-album2709.html

Would anyone be interested in sharing their thoughts on its resale value? i can do up a detailed list of all modifications if anyone is willing to take the time to review it.

Cheers.

The kit and wheel is not to my taste. But others might like it.

Nice color thou.

Which year and series?

Any other work done to the engine? If not, I'd say about 18k - 20k max.

With a rebuilt motor, probabaly a little bit more.

the wheels arent my thing really either but they were a steal at a grand with rubber & the kit well being 4 door there is not much available, that had to modified to fit as it was. Its 1993 series 1 ..

The engine is stock except for the work ive just done, its running power FC and a few bits (intercooler, fuel pump, cam gears etc)

Id strip it down and sell off the parts, would probably get a little less money but would be easier then trying to sell it to someone who would drive that over compensated lollypop-mobile.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but then again some people have a fetish for animal porn or grannies.

haha i guess everyone has their opinion and im not scared of some negative feedback, but if we could keep it to helpful replies it would be appreciated.

Jst making some fun man, i went through my stage of 'flasshy' as well (bout the same time i bought my first pink polo top)

Try popping it on carsales.com for a few months and after that, try parting it out!

yea its all good, i have the unique ability of being able to laugh at myself, i figure if you cant laugh at yourself you probably deserve it. I guess the car ended up the way it has because i know people in the car audio/bodyworks industries .. if i had more mates in the performance areas things could have turned out a lot differently but as it is to get any sort of decent performance work its a 2 hour drive to brisabane or 3 hour drive to the goldcoast ..

It'll be worth more stripped in parts.

You'll be lucky to get over 25k for that as it is IMO. Stock RB26, which will die eventually, and actually brings the engine bay down because its a typically worn looking RB26. If it has a decent spray on the covers, plenum etc it might help a bit with its appearance.

Also because of the colour in all honesty, its not for everyone so you'll have to wait around for a buyer with something that focused etc... longer you wait, the more money you loose on it all so you bite the bullet or have a deeper side pocket.

Strip it now, put a stocker RB25, rip out the stereo etc etc then sell it up with just the bodykit and the spray.

says the popsicle who runs his car around at night with the bonnet popped on the secondary - go figure......

mate it will appeal to someone I am sure, looks pretty neat and as long as the 26 and manual conversion was done correctly and the motor is strong, someone will give you pretty good money for it. I would agree that you would need to look pretty hard at offers close to the $20k mark as good money.

GL with the sale

The engine has just all been cleaned up, while the turbo was being fitted i had the covers/plenem painted, fitted aluminium radiator, silicon hose kits, cam gears/clear cam cover .. so in all the bay doesnt look too shabby now, but this is the sort of things i wanna know thanks.

Those wheels & rear spoiler completely embarrass the car... The rims are made for someone from Coburg with an auto VL n/a 6 with neons and the back spoiler is for a GTR.

Put some gold forged BBS 18x10inch BBS's on it and take off the wing... and then keep it

Gold rims on a purple car?

I never intended to keep the rims, they were offered to me too cheap to refuse so i put them on intended to keep them only until i found something else i like then sell them for a profit, but i still havent found anything else that appeals to me & now thinkin of selling it i didnt see the point spending coin on new wheels. The wing i have no exscuse for tho .. i kinda like it, sorry

About $17K would be an OK buy from a buyers point of view.

Only because I know that I could probably make about $3K in selling the wheels, tvs, boot mounted nightclub and body kit.

which should be enough to have the car resprayed in a colour I would want with wheels I would preffer.

so in the end it would have cost me $17K to have a practical RB26 powered skyline with good mods.

I'm sure you would have spend over $15K more than that in getting the car where it is now..

and as you know, you will never get that back. not even close.

I have sold 3 skylines over the last 18months and the market for them os almost non existant nowdays. Absoloutly not intending to offend you but im telling you right now you will struggle to get $15K for that. Sell all the bolt on stuff seperate if you can be bothered and hope to get $12k for the car even with the RB26.

lol Club BOOT.. funny f**ker.. what time is it open till? admission costs?

yeah it's as gtst said.. you'll never get ur return.. nowhere near..

i spent over 35k on my VT making it something special and sold for not even half that.. funny part is you spend all this time doing it up.. when you finish is when you get bored of it :D

    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items

    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile

    • Ok so i will NEED to have this sensor anyway even with Nistune (or standalone ECU) https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-boost-pressure-sensor-evap-control-system-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-nm35-stagea-pnt30-x-trail-rb25det-vq25det-sr20vet?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqfxX48bW9bEwH62orcNhtBfp7ekAL0C9Ca89ySFGUiBzXfXeze Is this the correct one? And this is only thing i need? No other "things" connected to the sensor or something? I do have the wiring.
