Hi all

Just a heads up. I fitted a Trust front diff cover on my r32 gtr. If I knew what a head f*k it would be to fit I would not have bothered ( took me a good solid day ). Has anyone else fitted one ?. Did you fit the top three cover bolts that sit near the oil filter? . These bolts where nearly impossible to fit and tighten.

As a side issue. The front diff vent hose connects to a nipple below the intake manifold. I find this strange as I thought it would have been vented to atmo. Is this the same as your RB26? . Any input would be appreciated.

I can't see why that would be true. 32 v spec and non vspec front diffs are exactly the same. so are R33 vspec and non vspec front diffs are the same too. as are the covers. as are the sumps. so I can't imagine why they wouldn't be the same.

Thanks. The car is a V spec and it is nearly the same as other r 32 gtr as far as I can see . Good to hear that the diff is vented to atmo now I will have to look at replacing a slightly leaking diff seal. Has anyone fitted the Trust extended rear diff housing ?

Must have been mistaken. My bad.

Mike

The rear diff may be a different story though, as some GTRs have an active rear diff which is different to the normal mechanical 2 way LSD the other GTR models have, so that may be where you got the idea from. :P
