well basicly o couldnt tune my car to its petensial because i had 550cc injectors and the emange blue cant tune them that well which robbed a lot of power.like i it could only be tunes to 12 psi ;( so i want an ecu that can tune bigger injectors and get the best out my car>>> any ideas ... i have heard the wolf 3d is good and that there is a new emanage ultimate but dunnoo any thing about that

dont go with power fc there crap cant tune them that good look up ems either 6860 or 8860

thats my opinion i have the 4424 stinger in my rb26 powerd 180sx and the 2 i sugestd are the new versions

I assume you are talking about your own tuning ability's as there are plenty of big hp cars running a power fc, you dont get big hp without extensive tuning.

I can only contribute to a process of elimination...

I have a HKS F-Con Pro-V but I can't recommend it because the expert tuner from Japan only comes here periodically;

despite it running well. I can't touch it!

Cheers, T

weren't HKS opening up a couple of places here which could tune the F-Con or something to that effect?

Not sure...

Please let me know!

Even reluctant to dyno the thing atm.

Bit paranoid about upsetting something that's going ok.

Cheers, T

hey original poster

have a chat to sau business seller Toshi

he does an ecu mod adapter plate and a custom tuned chip for air fuel ign.timing etc etc

very very worth while

my awd auto rb25det s1 stagea (s2 r33 engine, etc)

keep the emanage to adjust the tune on the dyno

my stagea had 180kw, did the ecu chip, on dynomade 82kw lol, backed off safc/sitc piggybacks and fuel pressure, made 190kw

getting retuned today as Ive fixed the massive boost drop with a hiflowing cat converter (Random technologies, lol, but 617cfm...)

have 555cc injectors to go in, were going in today but we'll see how it goes, havent got much $ really atm, so probably drop them in next service/tune 4000kms time

tuner, shaun @ boostwerks, hasnt got a problem in setting up the injectors to run... mind you they are stock high flowed deatschwerks 555cc items. for sale at cost if anyone really wants them (I dont need massive power figures, just a good tune).

anyways. have a chat to Toshi and see what he can do for you. pretty cheap way of getting your auto running well. :(

WTF ?

The emanage blue does a great job for what it is. Have you actually tried one ?

Whack the emanage on, someone who knows what they are doing will be able to get the car running great! With the Auto i would only suggest a emanage for anything thats not totally worked off its head, and even if it is.. go the Ultimate

Wow - some real experts on here!

:P

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
