God damn it

they got my name wrong again

its krishneel prasad or just plain krishy

LOL dude, I asked for your name and thats what you told me!

I'll go back and fix them up for you.

In terms of the 'Now lets try some corners and braking'; I will be looking at expanding the event to a multiple event competition - so the next event will be a Domestic vs Import go-karting for instance, then maybe a drag, motorkhana and super sprint (hardest, due to the insurance and costs).

I hope everyone had a great day and we will run the event again next year so I look forward to seeing you all again next year!

So that was your Purple R33 GTR i seen down the road, I was there wearing my SAU hoodie, i dont know how you could have missed me in it.

Well the Exhaust gasket leak that i found the morning of the dyno day turned out to be a Cracked exhaust manifold, also noticed that the car was Mega Rich when it dyno as well as it being 30kw down on the previous run so i suspected to find a boost leak and i found it when i was pulling the turbo off. A screw in plug had come undo from the compressor outlet and had fallen out, i'm actually surprised that it ran with the leak.

Here's a pic';

All good steve i didn't actually say i was from the forum. On a side note the best comment i heard on the day was when my bonnet was popped an older chap mentioned that "this is a stock Skyline by the looks of it"(stock airbox piping etc) mission accomplished in my book.

Was yours the red series 2?? That was my mates dad that made that comment! yer what you have done is awsome.. to have that sort of power from what looks like a stock engine bay! A cop would look at the standered box etc and let you off...

Yer MADAZ not the most confident guy out there was trying to remember your name, if i had of then i would have said hi...

In the SAU hoodie??? i dont remember that were you the bloke driving destroy??

And yer that was my Purple GTR down the street.

Yeah mate thats the car, still got plenty left in it yet too :) Set of poncams and another 3 psi (running 15 at moment) should see another 20-30 rwkw.

yep borrowed steve's bleeder

and quick squeeze down then road felt ok

then i just chucked it on the dyno and got the boys to wind it up to the same as yours 13psi

and was very impressed with 195.9rwkw on 13psi on a pretty much stock setup

btw its all there in my sig

mines 12.5 :) did you happen to see the boost reading from the dyno run? My Turbosmart bleed valve wont hold the 12.5 psi to redline. Not sure whether its just mine or all of them.

    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
