just wanting to know what differences there may be between the nismo fuel pump and walbro fuel pump for a R33 GTST?

i see that i alot of members are using walbro fuel pumps but im curiuos to know is there a difference in they way they perform or is it just the fact that it says nismo thats why its so much more expensive?

any info please, even if there are links which i couldnt find

walbro costs about 160, flows 255lph uses standard cradle, standard filter, standard wiring and requires about of soldering and mucking around to make it fit in the standard cradle, not bad if you get a genuine one but its probably worth paying the little extra for the bosch

tomei costs about 429,i think theres a few places that sell them cheaper in the 390s, flows 248lph, comes with its own cradle, wiring, and filter its simply pull in pull out, very reliable designed to run of the 12v instead of the 14v the walbro uses, i find it better than walbro i had but pretty pricey

hope that helps

You can also look at the HKS pump kit which I think is 240L/H. The Aus Distributor has them on sale until the end of the month for $400 I think. You can email them to find out at [email protected]

I thought the HKS fuel pump was closer to 250L/hour which is good for 550HP at the engine. Bonus of the HKS pump is that it comes as a BOLT IN kit with strainer and new fuel tank seal. I put one in my R34 a few years ago and haven't looked back since.

Here's a pic of the HKS kit.

Cheers

    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
