CRoNic...
I'm 6ft 4, own a 32 GTR and find it fairly easy to fit into it. Just adjust the steering column, etc to a decent height and all is good! AndrewJZX100
make sure you get one with a sunroof lol Do NOT get a sunroof equipped car, less head room from the start. BRIDE seat and rails. This man is on the money. I have a Bride BRIX 1.5 in mine (very low base) and superlow rails and have a rediculous amount of head room (like a good 20-25cm). I am about 6.1ish and you can barely see my head over the steering wheel . With a 30mm bosskit spacer to bring the wheel closer it is a bloody nice place to sit. sxc33
I am 6 foot 5 and 250 pounds and find it rather a tight squeeze getting into just about everything with a nissan badge on it lol. I have very broad shoulders too and i dont find all that well sitting in the standard 33/34 seats. SCR48
Im 6 foot 2 and fit fine in my R33. i must admit the only thing i dislike is how long my legs are i can sometimes look like a dareo commodore driver will my arm fully extended to the steering wheel Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234529-my-friend-wants-a-skyline-but-his-6-feet-8/page/2/#findComment-4155043 Share on other sites
Robo's
Im 6'6 and i fit in my R33 GTST snuglly. I wouldnt want to be any bigger. I took the foot rest out to get a little more room for the left foot. Headroom not a problem without a sunroof Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234529-my-friend-wants-a-skyline-but-his-6-feet-8/page/2/#findComment-4155089 Share on other sites
WIHAGTR
Imagine buying a gtr for 50k and not being able to sit in it... you'll end up slicing parts of your legs off Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234529-my-friend-wants-a-skyline-but-his-6-feet-8/page/2/#findComment-4155415 Share on other sites
joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo
in an effort to get into an FA-18 some aspiring pilots actually have a section of bone surgically removed to shorten their legs... jus sayin... maddowse
ok im happy i came across this thred !! first for my in put !! i dont know how tall i am now but i was 6" 1' when i was 18 (10 years ago ) i have an r34 gtt sedan (no sunroof) and my mate has an r34 gtt coupe with a sun roof ! i cant drive my mates car as we have to open the slide shade of the sunroof and my head hits the glass. but my r34 gtt sedan is just comfortable with the seat all the way back and all the way down i have 1cm between my head and the roof and my knees are bent but not too bad. i would like to do track days but there is no way ill fit a helmet on (when i did rally i had the seat choped and welded to the floor so i could wear a helmet in my gemini) , iv noticed you metion r33 gtr seats sit alot lower is this the case for r34 ?? also can you bolt bride railes to r34 stock seat ? i would love to get more head room but not spend thousands doing it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234529-my-friend-wants-a-skyline-but-his-6-feet-8/page/2/#findComment-5463534 Share on other sites
farch
I'm pretty much dead on 6ft (183 cm), and in an attempt to fit in my 180sx properly i put 32gtr seats in it and 6ft is almost average size these days( i think?). i still ankle-toe instead of heel-toe, but i manage. Although you tend to look like your driving a go-kart with your knees up the sides of the steering wheel. I have seen some taller skyline drivers deliberately buy automatics, but an automatic skyline seems a bit of waste of time unless all you want to do is go to the drags. but I'm sure with the right seat combo (and a little welding) anythings possible. I wish i put in a variable length steering column, that would be a dream. mad082
i'm 189cm with shoes on and have no issues with skylines or 180's. hell the daily is a pulsar and i have no issues with it either. that said, i've always found the lack of reach adjust steering in japanese cars a bit of a pain in the arse. that's one of the reasons why i always find commodores and falcons more comfy to drive, as i can put the seat far enough back to get my legs a bit straighter and still be able to comfortably reach the steering wheel. blk94r33
6' 6", 33 GTS, standard seats with a smaller momo wheel (came with the car). Usually i have the seat all the way down and back and find it very comfortable to drive, even on long trips. But with someone sitting behind me and the seat as far back as it can then go, it does get a bit uncomfortable after 1+ hours. Hand does sometimes hit the knees when turning though. Anyone over 6' will struggle to find a car that they like AND can comfortably fit into. Of everything i've driven, Commodores are the only cars I can put the seat back far enough that i can't reach the pedals.
