Hi guys,

Over the last few years ive spent heaps on my r32 and im getting a bit sick of never driving a skyline cause being a GTR its always breaking something

So after some searching around ive come across the C110 - and they're (IMO) pretty good looking with the right wheels

So im trying to find one to buy, but the problem is i cant find one in 2dr manual?!?!

Anyone know of one for sale?

hahaha good luck sunshine-steve. you and a gazillion other datto fanboys want one to build a Ken Mary replica of epic awesomeness. They're almost as bad as AE86's these days.

See if you can harass an old pensioner for his car, its the only way you'll find one for decent money.... or try your luck on the aussie RatDat classifieds... you'll have to fend off other C110 hunters though.

Didn't Drunkan have one?

C110 coupe's are kinda cheapish (kinda being relative, it'll still cost as much as an R34 GTR but not as much as a KGC10) in japan, so you might be able to import one under 15 year rule imports. But if you're gonna do that, then you should get something more exotic, like an old bluebird or cedric.... then convert it to a lowrider style getup. That would be awesome.

C110's pop up now and again on ebay, ozdat or the in trading post - but there are plenty of people chasing them. Oddly the coupes fetch higher prices from Australian buyers than the sedans, whereas the sedans are much more popular with overseas buyers. In Kuwait the coupe is unflatteringly referred to as "the cow".

I recently bought a lovely four door for $350 by leaving a nicely-worded note on someone's windscreen about 6 months ago. Many people who don't really care for Datsuns sell them for very little, wreckers are likely to crush them as $150 worth of scrap metal without thinking, and then you get complete get-rich-quick tools on ebay asking for $4500 for substandard examples.

I'll ask around for you, but happy hunting in the meanwhile - something will come up eventually.

i know were a clean white 2door auto, will be avalibe early next year, but it could be asking for around 6k, but it is 100% original... ill let you know when it comes up, if you haven't come across any by then

Dont be put off by the auto either. The manual conversion isn't difficult or expensive - there are plenty of cars you can grab a 5 spd box and clutch pedal from.

Yeah, 200b, 80's Lseries Bluebirds, 1600's, c210's, R30's.

R30's would be the best tho.

16 cars is out of control. There is a guy based in Bendigo who has 7 c110's. Same thing, won't sell for anything, just lets them sit in the rain for year after year... given they are practically rust-proof and all (slaps forehead).

i think that fella in QLD also has a 4 door paul newman R30 with tripple webbers

i have had 3 R30's in the last 12 months... the panel beater has a 60,00km one that has sat in his workshop for the last 15 years... should be finished within the next few months....

hey drew... you know Randys 4 door? im tempted to buy that off him (one day when im rich )... very tempted

it HOWLS

Hey Mags; I had a look at that four-door, it's cool, but not my cup of tea. There is a mint condition silver L26 210 in NSW at the moment, without any of the pink bits. I don't like pink. I'd go for that instead.

On the topic of overpriced cars there is a wrecker off the Hume Highway near Epping in Melbourne. He has about 6 C210s and C110s stacked on top of each other. All utterly stuffed, windows down, rusting out, ruined. He only wants $50 for a damaged piece of trim, or $2000 for a "complete" car... great.

theres a guy in brisbane who has 16 of them and wont sell any.

i always have cash ready for a classic skyline and i have a mate who took me to that guys place

he would not sell!

not even a crap one!

i was a little cut i offerd him 5 k for one of his bad condition ones and he still turned me down................

thats resonable i thought?

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
