If you have had them flow tested then obviously the fuel pressure is way way over the top or the dyno is slightly out by 30-40rwkw.

250-260rwkw is pretty much max from what I have seen from the std. RB25DET injectors with a decent/safe amount of fuel pressure pumped in.

u r kidding yourself if you think they are the stock ones.

gtst-vspecs car is making 368rwhp with stock injectors and I think I will make near the same once I get my wolf3d ecu in.

I got 550cc injectors in mine at the moment (waiting for the new manifold and turbo to arrive) and with around 200rwkw sometimes if i change at 7000rpm, the power fc shows the injectors flowing at around 55%. Now the 550cc injectors are 130cc bigger than the stock ones each so do the maths.

INASNT, I know where you are coming from, but this is I believe one of those times that reality and the hypothetical world dont match.

With stock fuel system I was getting up to 89% duty cycle with just over 200 rwkw.

BOOSTD is at 266rwkw with stock injectors - just upgraded fuel pump, he doesnt even have an upgraded fuel pressure reg. With increased fuel pressure and a good tune it would appear that the stock injectors can go a fair way.

Too many people exeriencing otherwise to not except IMHO

Quick question, I just found a exhaust leak on my car. Its were the turbo joins to the exhaust manifold. Its fairly big. As the turbo has moved from the manifold. Could i lose power from this leak? As i said, its faily large (guessing the size but about 1x3cm - rectangular size, possibly bigger)

:uh-huh:

will have all sorts of nasty side effects. Manifolds are usually carefully designed so as to create as little turbulance as possible - turbulance can cause unwanted back pressure and cause exhaust gasses to revert into the cylinders earlier than if it wasnt present which isnt a good thing at all. And also it is probably increasing lag, as the gasses wont be going out through the turbine.

Cant really quantify the losses, but even on a NA engine with a hole in the manifold or gasket leak it can cause noticeable loss of power.

If the exhaust leak is that big it would most definitely be hurting power, also your ears... it would be very loud. what has caused the leak/turbo to move, cracked manifold?

With a leak that big the car should be driving like a pig... is it?

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
    • So 10/10 times that code is coil packs? I mean if that's the case ill drop the $400USD or so to replace them. I didn't know these cars threw codes before the issue became an issue.
