DR drift qouted me 1350 to fit daughter board and tune it. Now for anthor 300 i can get a PowerFC fitted and tuned with hand controller. I dont see why you would go to a nistune from dr drift when you can get a gand controller and have the ease of getting it tuned anywhere by almost anyone.

Well that is my 5c anyways. Something as important as a ECU i would spend the bigger bucks and do it once. So to speak

hey toshi, siddr20 says its $400??

is that just for the daughterboard data??

coz.. im interested in getting one of ur remap boards..

but yeah..

so what the deal? you send me an R33ecu, with a daughterboard installed with tuned data?

for $700-850...and then i just send mine back to you...that correct??

$400 remap ECU (exchange)is not installed daughterboard.

It is installed hitachi H8 PLCC chip.(local tuner can not tune)

I will send remap ECU to you and you go to dyno shop for check AFR and ping.

If my remap chip will lean , ping , no power etc I will send another chip.

If you are living in Sydney I am able to real time remap tune by NISTUNE software.

Daughterboard installed ecu(exchange) and data depens on exchange rate.

AU$1 is 65yen today.(it was AU$1 is over 100yen)

I think over $1000 now.

Also $400 remap chip will change price.(I have instock only 4 chip now)

Im thinking around $500.

@ greddy skyline

Get gaven woods to put the PowerFC in mate you will not be disappointed. He is the only guy that has found and fixed every problem I have had. He might cost a bit more but is well worth it. My car is going back into him very soon for a retune on my Skyline because I have put some new parts in.

If you have any questions about gaven send me a pm

hey mate Ive taken my car to Gavin a few times now for regualr servicing and some fixtures.

I would take his word over others bcause ive seen his work and its impressive.

unfortunately when I wrote this thread i was still interested in an ecu but now ive come to a slight decision to hold off and save a few more $$ towards a GTR or 34GTT

and not only that my clutch is slipping so Gavin is installing a new one this tuesday.

so there goes my ECU money haha

is that 1350 for a nistune? if so, that is pretty steep.

EDIT: JUST REALIZED HOW OLD THIS THREAD IS, TOTALLY FORGOT I WAS USING THE SEARCH FUNCTION AND NOT READING UP TO DATE FORUMS. MY APOLOGIES.

Well under $1000 almost anywhere supplied fitted and tuned for Nistune, Almost all Tuners now tune Nistune.

yeh i know ay, i got mine done for $750 including plug wiring for z32afm.

thats why i just wasnt sure if the price he was referring to was for a nistune or something else

If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
