forget that other 33 GTR troy. this one looks awesome. http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=8761

808... wasn't that duncans number one year? still i wouldn't mind the AP brakes. the condition of the body suggests they weren't used hard (enough). d'oh!

Round and around, and maybe into a tree? ;)

Troy: That would be perfect mate. There's a mob in the UK who make a similar thing. 3.2's and 964's dressed up as '73 RS'. Awesome stuff!

This is shit hot too: http://my105.com/classified.asp?id=10369

and this looks like a decent thing too, if SR20's are your bag :ermm: : http://my105.com/classified.asp?id=9375

I have such a love/hate relationship with my105...

i like the S14. would be wicked fun. personally probably would want to knock $7K or so off the ask (assuming it can't ever be registered). lots of nice gear on it though.

I try not to, but it keeps pulling me back in...

The GT2 replica wasn't a GT3 cup challenge car as far as I'm aware, but could well have been. Looked identical to this:

This one? Shame about the 915 box. I've killed more then I care to remeber.

It’s track only. It’s a JMS car. The guy is a poll smoker.

Ahh yes, I recall coming around a right hander to find that one on it's lid after it punted an earth bank hard! Mt Black stage I think it was, day 5, Targa 2006 from memory? Matt used to run a really nice 993 Turbo until it was stolen ;).... not much luck the boy....

Funny you post that. Rowdy down here in Vic had a white R32 GTR shell that was possibly able to be registered, body was in good nic and only wanted $3,500 for it. I contacted the crashed white R33 guy as i was thinking for less then 20k i woudl have had a pretty decent basis for a reliable track R32....but then reality kicked in ;)

That S14 is real nice. If i could find a similar white car with nice mods and rego for sub 20k i woudl seriously consider it. I prefer S14s over S15s funnily enough

what's the go with this? saker with a subie motor? I've always thought saker + V8 = goods. would be fun if you could get it rego'd as an ICV....

Come on Count, look at the prices. I make legal drugs, not sell the dodgy kind ;)

Oh, and who sings that song, i wa only asking the other week and nobody could answer?

you are in the right part of the world to bring back the goods. lets all get rich quick or die trying.

some rapper. i forget. but google will know. :ermm:

googled it. skee-lo.

That's the one!

I've heard bad things about the 915 or g50, but I can't remember which one ;) By what you're saying I'm assuming it's the 915 that's clunky and weak.

i wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller. I wish I had a girl who looked good I would call her....

I would cut all of you for that RSR ;)

Troy: See, sub 20k for a real nice S14 like that is what makes me want to sell my car in a million iddy biddy pieces and make double what I could sell it for, and sell it all quite quickly (bar maybe the engine which may take a while). It's hard losing so much cash on the build in the first place, but buying someone elses race car for cheap cheap makes it an easier proposition :ermm:

The G50 is the ducks nuts if you can get a hold of one if you’re an older 911 owner.

G50 came in around the mid – late 1980’s in the turbo and non-turbo cars. Start at around $4/5k and upwards of $8k/$9k for a rebuilt one from a workshop. Need to horse around with cutting torsion bars in the early shells to make them fit though.

The 915 is the work of the devil.

It’s just a nicer box and physically much larger then a 915. Still pretty rank when you’ve come from a more modern gearbox.

My biggest problem was coming from a Trust gear set where I could “smash” it into gear as quick and as hard as I liked, to learning to drive essentially and older more primitive car.

I have no idea if “slow synchros” is a technically correct term, but the way all the old 911 blokes explained it to me was “slow synchros” = “slow gear changes”, get it right and you’ll be much quicker.

And remember the year Matt had the navigator that had them excluded from the event cause the nav got pissed the night of Prologue, fell down the stairs at Country Club breaking a couple of ribs and blew .12 at 9am the next day!!

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
