Hello all,

At the moment this is just an exspression of interest (so thats why its not in the for sale section) but I may be able to get GTECH metres very cheap. Im told they retail for $395 or there abouts but if the deal falls through and I can get my hands on some im willing to sell them brand new in the box for approx $220.

The price is not 100% confirmed but for the meantime ill go with that

gtechpro_small_orange.jpg

What do they do?

* 0 to 60 mph time

* 1/4 mile elapsed time (E.T.)

* 1/4 mile trap speed

* Instantaneous lateral acceleration (G s)

* Sustained lateral acceleration (G s)

* 60 mph braking distance

* Instantaneous braking Gs

* Sustained braking Gs

* Horsepower

These babies are extremely accurate and are only about 0.1 - 0.2 off.

So im basically looking to see if there is any interest for them.

If you would like to get one at this excellent price post up and let me know and then ill take it from there

Thanks

At the moment I am looking to see how many people would be interested, if theres enough interest I will go ahead and order them.

I would require a deposit of $120 and then once I get them and give them to you, you pay the remainding $100..

Thats just insurance for me as you can appreciate I dont wanna buy all these items then people back out.

I would say I probably wouldnt be looking to do this for another 2 weeks or so

i have had one for about 6 or 7 years now....they are quite good and useful not to mention relatively accurate little things...

back then it cost me $295, but nowdays retail at $395..

i do recommend them.

Thats totally correct hippy! :)

Ok heres the latest

Ok guys I have a spreadsheet that I am using to put the names of people that are interest so that I can get a total of how many people want them

If you want one just post up and ill add your name to the list!

I have confirmed that the best price I can get them for is $220 as I stated ( I tried to get them ever cheaper) so this is what I have in plan

If you live in VIC

I will want to meet with you and take a deposit of $120 then once I get them, which should be within a fortnight of when i get the money I will meet you all again and give them to your and you pay the remainding $100

Interstate Members

For those of you that are interstate I will require that you pay the deposit of $120 to my bank account (Ill give you my details once I have arranged everything) and then I will COD them to you and you pay the Post Office $100 PLUS postage (which shouldnt be much at all)

If you want to add your name to the list or take it off for some reason let me know by posting here

Ill keep you all updated

Cheers

I'm keen but I question their accuracy. I'm not seeing how something can measure distance by simply plugging into a cigarette lighter :confused:

I'll do some reading and get back to ya.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
