Iv been looking around on the web and some car yards

Anyway to cut a long story short found this R34 the other day:

Would anyone be able to give me some advise as to what to check or question about the R34 in general when buying?

Thax

Whats your reason for selling?

bit over it. wanting to go 4wd. since i busted up with the mrs been getting back into my hobbies again more heavily, shooting, fishing and the like and a skyline isnt really appropropriate.

^^^ +1

nice car and definitely worth about 70k...not 78

with the yen taking a dive; the sellers taking advantage of it...think about it; that gtr is probably 4.3-4.6million yen + 20% taxes to land it here + shipping and profit

I dont think that's a Vspec II, looks like it just has the bonnet.

That car was built by Top Secret for some famous Japanese baseball player, its got his name on the customised leather front seats.

I bought my 34 of SSV a few years ago, they are great to deal with and have very clean cars.

Right so hear is were im at...

Basically the GT-R was in good condition (Sounded unbelievable!) however not as good as oh-low s by the looks of his photos.

Had a look at the car up close the other day, as PAV34 said it was owned by a famous Japanese baseball player

who took it to top secret and spent about $30,000 on it.

Going to catch up with oh-low at some point to check out his 34.

btw:

Are there any local meets in which are going to happen in the next week in either Sydney or Melbourne?

Travel between the two states frequently for work.

Thax again

Mike

    • Swapped the injectors around and the misfire followed. I went ahead and ordered the Deatschwerks 550cc injectors and am currently waiting for them to be ship and arrive. In the meantime, I've had my Nistune soldered to the ECU. Tested it, and and tried it out with the software. Everything should be prepared for when the injectors arrive.
    • Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so  better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.
    • Hello, just just bought an 1999 enr34 with a stock rb25neo and I'm looking to upgrade the engine to 500whp I know some basic things but wondering if there are things I'll need to do to upgrade the stock block and all the bits and pieces to achieve this.
    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
