Did you unload the bike without any probs?

Def some awesome street machines there. Bruno cleaned up with his 55 Chev ... 8 awards and the top honour itself!!!!!

yeah mate it went very smooth, unlike the loading on where I chipped the bottom of the front fender again, lol

wow, that is one awsome chopper.

if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to get all the custom parts for it.

PM me if u dont want it public.

But wow that thing is sexual.

thanks bud..........all I'll say is, the back wheel is worth more than 1/2 the cars on this forum

I wasn't going to mention that ... but seeing as you did ... time to trim a bit more off then?

My camera is a bit funny with shiny toys and lighting sometimes. Doesn't focus properly ... but it is an Olympus :P

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

No money won but apart from the trophy, I managed to score a complimentary bag full of Meguiars product.

As far as power is concerned Damo, approx 100hp according to manufacturer's specs but it's more of a torque monster and as Dan said, it'll tow a road train.

I'll try & load up some pics now.

I should have entered the Brutale eh Pete? Only one european bike entrant in the (other) bike show. Might even think about entering the TLR into it again with its new Rizla looks ... after some of the guys were asking why it hasnt been in the show for the last 2 years :P

Shoulda stuck around for the awards.

Cara took out best graphics!

And the man Pete took out Best chopper ...

ps did you take her home with the bike? :) if so thats 2 sweet rides you've got now :D

i thought it was pretty crap this year, didnt appeal to me this year.

but the funniest thing was they where all talking up the vx clubby saying it should be around 300rwkw's and when they put it on the dyno it struggled to make 212rwkw's which was its top read out, but before they had that on they had the D&T old datto ute on there and that made 198rwkw and that was only a 4 banger, everyone was laughing at the clubby when it got that read out haha!

ok your wrong i was working on the tyrepower stand where the vx clubby came from the owner of the car wasn't there so troy the manager of the stand took the car to the dyno told the announer that it should make 200kws not 300

seams to me 212kws is more then that also it made 220kws later in the day, should have made more but the limter was set to 5500 somehow and it was running like poo

also the d&t datto ute is a mitsubishi and its a gen 3 v8 not a 4 banger

please get your facts right next time

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
