Length Of Pipe From Gate To Exhaust ?

Does the pipe length from the gate to the exhaust matter as i connecting the screamer pipe (to loud for a street car ) to the exhaust, Im hoping to connect it where it drops down at the fire wall and bends under the floor.

I couldnt up load a image in this thread but there is one in the gallery. MLR.

as long as you can really, closer to the cat/smoother the join angle the better
