I've got a great set of wheels I love but I'm also pedantic and have some gutter scrape on 1 rim and a few stone chips on the others. So with new tyres to be fitted I was thinking that I might change the colour of my rims? Anyone who has owned white rims knows my pain! I originally thought of a gun metal but I'm now leaning towards a bronze metalic (probably the same shade as the drift tek range).

So. . .What do you reckon and can people please post up picture of red 32's with bronze/gold or gunmetal rims?

Here is a couple of shots of my car 1. with my white rims and 2. with mine on the front and a pair of bonze works on the back (to darker bronze IMO)

Already got that as my everyday set. . . . And the rims I want to change are rare original Nto3's that were imported a while back which have an intricate design of the interwebing between spokes. Any wheel that has any form of interesting detail seems to get dulled/blended away into the rest of the rim if it is a dark colour, IMO.

Black stockies look tuff, then lower it about 2" you be looking sweet.

Onter suggestion I go Bronze.

I like the stockies black also  Thats why i got them professionally sprayed as a daily kick around rim by a mate so I wouldn't be disappointed.

Nice thread :D I have the same colour car and was thinking of going a darker rim also. I love bronze volks or the dark gunmetal seen on work rims.

We think on the same level. Volk bronze and Work gun = :P . as long as you buy the real deal and not imitations :spank:

what wrong with white? white FTW...

however with the red, the white rims look wierd... i was gonna suggest a black rim also.. looks the shit..

White was one of the factors that caused me to buy these rims! They are the original Nto3's (without multistud and centre hub webbing), Super light at only 8.2kg and these ones were imported from japan by a friend of mine to run targa. The reason he imported them is because Enkei has never sold these in white here + the obvious weight and quality of the rim. But after 3-4 years in my hands they are starting to look dull and i've had it up to the moon with having to clean such an intricate wheel in white :(

Thank you for your opinions and everyone is more than welcome to add their comments/vote but I am 100% solid that black is never going to happen! It is no MCR touge monster!

    • Had a chat to Tony Mamo - he advised that looking at the graph's shape (regardless of number translation) it shouldn't be levelling off like that up top. He said it looks like the car is running a restrictor plate or something of that nature. Luckily the last dyno pull on E85 was saved to the PC - So I did a quick trace of Barometric KPA vs Intake manifold pressure, and lo and behold I see a copy of the 'waves' I was seeing on the dyno: I'm not entirely sure how to go about addressing this. It may be worth sacrificing IAT to run a more direct intake for the motor. Though packaging this could be flat out impossible given the constraints of the car. I should have removed the intake pipe to see if this made a difference but looking at this graph I now have something to potentially test in the future and think about.
    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.
    • Followed ☺️ Assuming those are NEO rods, then at least 400kW all day.
    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
