Hi all,

Many of you have been following a couple of our Project Cars that we have been working on, in-house at Just Jap Racing over the past few years, particularly Darrons BNR32, which was previously Gun Metal Grey, so I thought I would put up a thread with some of the progress pictures showing the final result of the cars recent repaint and exterior update.

Inspired by the R35 GTR, we chose to paint the car in R35 Titanium Grey, and we are fairly certain that this is the first car in the country to be repainted in this specific colour though we have no doubt others will follow :D

The paintwork was handled by Andy at Complete Smash in Sydney (02 9521-3933) and we are delighted with the results.

We took the chance to replace all the original perished window seals and rubbers with Brand New Genuine items for a quality result

We hope you enjoy the before and after shots.

Before - Standard Bodywork - Factory Gunmetal Grey, finished off with 18" URAS NS-01's

After - Complete Refinish in R35 GTR Titanium Grey

We went for only subtle upgrades to the actual bodywork so as not to ruin the R32 GTR classic lines, so we added N1 Side Skirts, and finished the car off with R34 GTR wheels which perfectly compliment the colour, and an SRI Carbon N1 Boot Lip and SRi Carbon N1 Front Bar Vents.

For anyone interested we have a stack of brand new Carbon Fibre Gear now available so don't forget to check out our website.

More updates to come.

Thanks to all for your support - We hope you enjoy.

Cheers,

Steve Thatcher

Just Jap

looks hot

only criticism is the colour of the brakes looking out of place but thats nothing major

Thanks mate, we are considering doing something about the calipers :P

Cheers,

Steve

Gosh I love the carbon air ducts for the FMIC!

Thanks mate :P We are now stocking them for R32 and R33.

Possible Group Buy happening soon!

Due to the number of pm's and requests we have had from customers of late, we are also now stocking a lot more Carbon for a variety of models.

More updates to come hopefully today showing the repainted RB26 engine covers which we had done in the same colour as the bodywork, and finished the coil pack cover off with an HKS valley badge.

Cheers guys, and thanks for the feedback.

Steve

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
