some one had to have seen this come on guys any info will help, the guy who bought it off me has defaulted on payments and the car has never been signed over to him but somehow he has sold it. Trying to talk to the person who currently has it, cause in my eyes they have done nothing wrong and want to talk to them about the situation.

Cause as I understand it the car was swapped, and the guy I sold the car to is willing to rectify the problem inorder to avoid legal issues.

So any help in locating the person who currently had it is greatly appreciated

Anyone seen this car lately guys?? It is now about to go through court to have the car recovered. The reason I am chasing it is cause the guy who brought it off me has stopped making payments but has on sold the car I presume without the buyers knowledge that it wasn't theres to sell...

Mate is this car still live near you??

Yeah he was paying me directly... I know in hindsight would never of done it, but the guy played the hard done by routine and yeah I felt sorry for him.... Never ever again... Now I'm trying to locate this thing cause I don't want to do the wrong thing by the person who currently has it, cause it might be a bit of a shock if the cops rock around with a tow truck and take the car

Please guys someone must of seen this thing around, any help or info would be greatly appreciated... Have heard it has been seen around northside of Brisbane Stafford sort of area... I can provide people with the VIN number and copies of my rego papers and anything else if they don't believe I am legit

I feel like a passed a car exactly the same as this on the gold coast near where I live yesterday. Southport area.

Could be a different car but they had the same bonnet, maroon with black stripe.

I think I've seen this at stafford where i live. It was at Phantom motors getting work done when we bought the supra for my girl. He's also waved at me when we pass on maundrel tce. Also seen it on the long bridge out to redcliffe. Call Phantom motors im sure they have contact details for him if hes a customer or a mate. :)

The background story of why you want to track down this car has certainly evolved from your original post...

So let me get this straight you're trying to find the car so you can repossess it from the current owner because you still part-own it ? that's why you really posted this thread ? I'm just a bit confused why it seems as though you didn't explain the situation a little more transparently originally...

good luck though...amazing how people find it so difficult to properly conduct the purchase of a car to prevent shit like this...

Hey guys anyone seen this lately... And no I am not trying to reposess it, I want to talk to who has it now and arrange to buy it back as I haven't got the money I agreed to sell it for but have received part of it and from what friends of the person who the original deal with me was done have told me it was sold for approx $15,000 to the person who currently has it and that is what roughly has been paid off to me so far. So I want to talk to them to offer them compensation in return of the car... Cheers guys....

grammar fail... hard to understand. That post was the longest sentence I've ever seen in my life. Looked a lot like a paragraph... yet only had one full stop. Confusing. :D

So you've been given 15K, and they bought it for 15K, and you want to buy it back for more than 15K? I think that's what you were trying to say.

What happens if they don't want to sell it? Seriously, I'm not asking to be a prick. I want to know what plan B is. There's been a couple of "I'm going to ask them to sell me their car" posts lately... and I want to know if people have backup plans for it the question falls on deaf ears.

you came to your senses and kept your non turbo R33?

Are your senses drunk?

FKN LOL

I agree he does have a point here. If they are getting work done on it, chances are they don't want to sell it.

Well I am open to negotiate, I just want a chance to talk to them. This car was my pride and joy and hours upon hours of late nights went into it, and to not have it needless to say I am entirely gutted. I guess when I talk to them I will take it from there. No I don't have a plan B I just at the moment want to find out what happened to it and talk to the people who currently have it about buying it back for an agreed amount.

Please guys I would love to have it back for christmas.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
