Why on earth would someone's first post on SAU be digging up this old thread to find out how to put an alarm in his non-Skyline? Especially when everyone has answered the OP's question in the thread already?

Wait... what? He dug up an old thread and asked the question in that. Everyone cries when a new thread gets opened about the same shit and they all say "search the forums, etc etc" so this guy obviously has... what's the big deal? And the thread is a year old... shops can actually change in that time.

Might not have access to yellow pages online, might have kiddy filter on browser....?

It's easy to go to the yellow pages and type in "car alarm fitter" but you don't know who's decent out there, hence why people ask which car alarm fitter is best. I don't want to take my car to the first search result I find in the yellow pages.

The same deal with mechanics. Just because Ultra Tune has a full-page ad in the yellow pages doesn't mean it's fantastic and recommended.

alarms are for fags anyway. just get a f**k off big pitbull and a big black dude wearing a suit to sit in your car when youre not using it.

I quite like some of the 'Anti-Autotheft Systems' this mob sell....

I wouldn't take my comment about the YP that seriously.... :)

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
