Psst... It was a lie... don't tell anyone

oh yeah thats right all the $$$ went to the christmas fund lol......i have been defect on "SUSPECTED SUSPENSION DAMAGE" hence why i get really pissed off when i hear that the police can do you for suspicion of carrying a defectable item.....i was running street dampers set at a legal height

Something needs to be put in place for those that are unfairly defected because a cop got suspicious! Compensation for time and reimbursed any costs!

They couldnt find anything else so they did me on suspected suspension damage....i asked well if i had damaged suspension then how have i been driving on it without a problem.....to which the reply was well regency can deal with it now....i mean seriously WTF

i was there trying to argue my point to the officer in charge....but i had a bad feeling that he had made up his mind as he pulled me over to defect me....i was suprised as they could frankly just abuse their power....if you cannot find something defectable then let me go....dont slap on a canary for suspecting i have a defect....its like me (being a cop) taking u into custody for suspected robbery/murder/rape/whatever.....its not right....then how come they are allowed to defect vehicle on suspicion

took a ford escape thru today (6k ebay 2days ago lol)

was shittn myself as Id just got back from driving it back from melbourne and hadnt taken off the damaged stone guard, nor checked for any leaks/damages

went all over the car and gave it a thumbs up.

wow, thank christ thats over with. all rego'd now (was running on a vicroads unrego'd permit)

if it was a turbo import I reckon they woulda done it for worn bushes and whatnot, surely (98000kms)

I was gonna ask the officer what would happen if he defected me for having a BOV but he couldnt find one, but seeing as he let me go i didnt wanna push it. i would make he drive with me to regency and hav them look for one with him there lol

yeah a mate of mine bought a s15 from brissy and he went for his id check (check vin n engine number), which is all u need to register it here, but as soon as they saw it was an import made him do a full road worthy inspection, gave him shit for stuff like a loose battery clamp. the worst thing is u cant argue with them cos u have to go back there to get it cleared.

when i go tmy 34 from Vic 3 years ago, they checked all over her, but the only thing they picked on was the fact that the spare tyre didnt have 80km/h on it :) but then she was stock as a rock, but cause the spare tyre didnt have the km/h on it they started to make it very hard for my compliance guy :P

Just write it on with a black permanent marker, worked for me

went through regency today... passed with flying colours. haha not a single thing.

the young guy working there is a champ too! had a quick chat about rollcages (i want one put in soon) and he was disappointed that there was no fun stuff for him to find ahahaha.

Its an "all motor NA" , it would be struggling to get over 80km/hr :D

Could always try what a guy did a few years back to a bank. If they find nothing wrong, send them an invoice for your time and inconvienience and any other cost involved.

lol suspicion of carrying a defectable item is good enough for them to send you to regency i mean like WTF is wrong with people.....yet the popo were going to spend some big $$ in educating the force personel as to how to identify a defectable item etc.....innocent till proven guilty...i think NOT

thats pretty crap how they can just 'suspect' things..

thats like saying "anyone with a stanly knife is most probably emo" or anyone with a internet connection "hacks into banks" or "anyone with a plane ticket is a terrorist" or even "anyone visiting the doctors most probably have swine flew"

hate it how people put everyone in the same boat.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
