This shit has been happening for years (some with P plates, no less). I know that guys up in Hornsby have regularly been baited by Falcodores and Magnas with illegal tints.

I had a massive rant about it here.

It's BECAUSE I spent 10 years working in the law that I'm smart enough not to fight it. Mik (had a white 33 GTR with about 380awkw) on here contested a speeding fine and won. Cost $20k. No order for costs.

Also, there is a law against keeping out of harm's way, it's called the speed limit.

For those sort of dollars, dont do it.

But the reason id at least do something about it is that the whole motorcycle license course is designed to make you aware of your surroundings and ride in accordingly. Well thats what ive gotten from it so far anyway! So if some dickhead/policeman is pushing the limits of your safety so they can write up another ticket id at the very least write to the ombudsman saying you rode how you were trained etc (or similar)

Why beware? Anyone with half a brain would realise a XR8 or a SS Commodore could potentially be a cop car. I have no sympathy for someone who gets booked like this, if you have something to prove do it on the track.

The ombudsman will bust the cops involved if you go about it the right way...It has worked for me in the past.

TodayTonight or ACA could make a story about it I'm sure...

trust me.............ACA is more keen on revealing stories of HOONS and drag racing...............rather than undercover cops jumping the gun to do thier job.

plus the public would approve more of what the cops are doing than some p-plater hoon that is about to kill someone with speed.

i know where your coming from, but looking at it in the publics perspective.....im sure they would encourage the cops.

think about......only the HOONS and idiots that dont give 2 shits about harming others are getting fired up about it....

I also had an experience with this, a ford xr6 was revving me up at the lights, my car looked pretty stock back then. I ignored him and drove off normally. He baited me all the way till the next set of lights and again revved it. I looked over and gave him a 1 finger salute not realising it was a cop. Low and behold he then pulls me over 2 seconds later and asks me why I swore at him and thinks I have a bad attitude for the road. I replied by saying that I had assumed he was just another holden or ford driver trying to show off his common day car and that I wasn't interested in racing on the streets. The cop begrudgingly let me go as he had no reason to book me. I say they deserve it if they're going to act like tools, driving dangerously in order to make others drive just as stupidly as they are. Give em a salute

ive had a gun pulled on me at a set of lights a while back, this was 8 years ago when i was 19...."young,dumb & full of cum" as they say....

with a TT supra i was speeding...i kinda beeped a guy in front and flashed him with high beams... coz he was going pretty slow...then at the set of lights... a massive Lebo guy pulled out a gun & shouting at me......

you see.....that wasnt a finger either like what you were doing. if that was your "salute" u probably wouldve ended up with a cap in your skull.

On hume Hwy westbound around Yagoona area....

an XR8 2006 model GTP...

Green coloured, with "GTP" sticker with stripes running along the side...

slightly lowered with attractive rims... green Licence plate no#: "XR8-1LA" or was it "XR8-ILA"

Racing sticker on the back windscreen & custom chrome decals on the rear bumper near licence plate indicating something about XR8s...

very dark window tinting & even personal decorations hanging off the rear-view mirror, being that dark....that was the only thing i could see in there.

but i did notice a really long vertical antenna approx 1.2m high bolted on the rear boot.

BEWARE! of this vehicle... I'm not 100% certain but it is very suspicious...especially that antenna...apparently thats the only thing you can notice on the exterior.

and a friend of mine has actually sworn this car has pulled people over on the M5.

wasn't the WRX made a cop car in 1999, 2000 or 2001 or something.... there were only 8 of them and I remember them selling all 8 of them a year later.... it failed as a cop car, kept blowing gear boxes or something.... and an evo5 cop car sounds like bullshit..... there are lancer, magna (380) and camery cop cars but they basically only drive between stations, usually the sargents run around car,,,, very unlikely a non commo or falcon will pull you over unless its wreckless driving, run a red light or its a car accident.....

still none of us should be tempted by any car to drag on the streets, everyone gives it a squirt when theres a wank beside you but if your an idiot you deserve to get caught..... ive given it a spirited acceleration a few times on the street, nothing dangerous, no tyre screech but i know thats still enough to get done.... but if you purposely wanna play with fire you have to understand you could get burnt...

the entrapment law is iffy..... if the cops played by the rules there would be allot more drug dealers and murderers walking the streets.... id rather they ignored the entrapment laws to an extent and get rid of the idiots in our society or catch the idiots before they get worse.....

i was an idiot, i used to speed everywhere in a kia rio, hardly a safe car to speed in, if i wasnt caught by highway patroll driving to work, fined $609 and 3 month suspension I'd hate to think what could have happend to me if i wasnt caught and i kept on speeding untill something worse happend somewhere down the track. speeding is strange, when you get away with it once, you might do it again a little faster, and alittle faster.......

I'm not gonna explain the circumstances of what happened...

I put in a complaint with a mate of mine by writing a letter to the ombudsman. Complaint went through, officers involved got formal warnings. The day my car goes back on the road (a year later), I get pulled over by them again and harassed about it. Thats how i know it works.

If you dont believe it works, dont try it. Simple as that.
