i just bought myself a GT3037 (3076) EW 0.62rear and cant wait to put it on over the hoidays..,

i currently have a HKS2530kai on my R33 and trust me, its not enough power... the HKS 25xx are very responsive turbos, give great mid range power, but its just not enough..

Oh and btw, The Mafia, I will be getting the WMI system as well, I been looking at AEM and Devils Own kits, which would you recommend for an R33 setup with GT3037?

Cheers

high flows are crap anyway, most blow prematurely, and they are laggy for the power they output.

I'd get a 2835 instead of a 2535 anyway.

thank god im not the only one that thinks high-flows are total crap

*watches out for R31NISMOID to get on the defensive

2535 is a great all rounder if you've got access to one that's good condition and well priced, provide a good bit of power over stock without heading towards "dyno queen" territory :P

Some say underpowered (dyno queens haha) but they are well built and definately have their place if you're after something to go on a well driven daily car and stil make you smile when you mash the accelerator.

Having owned both the above mentioned turbos, the driveability of the 2535 felt light-years ahead of the highflow.

Cant belive no one mentioned the HKS GTRS. Perfect for 250-260rwkw. Named the best turbo for the RB25 for that power level. 3071 would be lagier. For street application for an everyday driver, go the GTRS

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
