Those attending from the south....

I have been asked to post a second gathering place, we will swing past the Southgate Plaza Sherriffs Road Morphett Vale and pick up anyone who has gathered there....if you wish to wait there PLEASE be there by 11.30am.

OLD Mark

Interior is schmick, getting up early tomorrow to head to the car wash.

Was filling up for tomorrow at BP brighton and a blue S15, that CA 180SX with 2 tone grey/black, and a silver RX7 FC showed up behind me.

Getting excited for this one, convinced my mate in a JZX100 to come.

Hope no one had big dramas with the cop's blitz.

I'm at home enjoying my pool and scotch. Might be out for a ride thru the hills later :P

Anyone who went to the cruise, let us know how it went.

the cruise was a good one with about 50 cars, the only cop issues we ran across was the accident blocking south road and the express way separated the group but the cops had there hands full prying apart a couple of Commys and a few other shit boxes. a tiny bit of rain then lots of sun on the way out

and the other minor problem was NO PARKING in Victor Harbor ? cause the market was on, but beside that it was a great turnout with some new faces would have been nice to get all the cars in a line up for photos in victor, oh well next time

thanks for a good cruise, look forward to the next one.

cheers

NO BLITZ YEAH!!!

Hi Guys - -

ive uploaded some photos below from the cruise today - i have millions, but these are a few of the good ones.

if anyone would like them in full rez, pm me, and ill shoot it too ya.

Cheers!

Kris.

MASSIVE THANKS to Bec & Lindo for the organisation & invitation :P ....it was a great drive on some seriously fun roads.

Special thanks also the (Boobvia) Bec for the collection & the pressie (silly lady it was not necessary) also to Michael Coppla for the photo shoot prize & to MR Nick from Smooth Garage for his kind donation.

Finally from the depth of our hearts a sincere thanks to all the SAU members who attended & those who also donated $323.20 ... today meant the world to us. It is a pleasure to be "the OLDS".....remember, if you can't find someone to talk to...you can always talk to us !!!

OLD Jules & Mark

PS ...hope to see you all again on the 1st Feb 2009

Edited by mark03

was good to catch up with a whole heap of people at the meet point....spewin i couldnt go on the cruise but ill defintley be going on the BSM cruise next year without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!

well done to everyone who donated to a cause that is in need of every bit of support!!!!!!!!

Sorry I couldn't make it out, the slave cylinder gave up on the GTR which means I have no clutch lol. Glad to hear you had no cop trouble... they're doing a huge blitz at the moment. There's massive amount of cops on the streets these nights!!

I'll be out on the BSM cruise for sure, though!

Today was so fun and a damn good experience. Got to see some pretty mad cars and talk to a few people.

Went off well, small patches of rain on the way but mostly sunny, no caps. That car accident was the worst bit, split us all up which resulted in my and Mark (blue S15) cruising for the majority of the way to Victor, untill BAM white 32 GTR, Red S13, White S13, and a few others all of a sudden were tagging along.

Then spent about 15 minutes searching for a park

But had mad fun, the fluro tape was a great idea too.

Can't wait for the next one.

PS: Anyone got any photos of my car (full stock white 180SX with gay exhaust) or the ONE AND ONLY Chaser (Dark green with Volk SE37's just incase) please post them up, my mate and I would appreciate it.

Tom.

thomasino, i was in rbware the white gtr that caught up to you, man your car is like a boat in the rear end, and when you over took that mitsi 380 near a corner we thought oh no,! lol was a wickid cruise everyone! only shame was the crash and getting split up from people!

oh, you were in rbware? i was sitting behind you for a fair chunk of the run in.... until i was overtaken at a buck and change by the dude in the auto 13... in a 2 car gap.

    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
    • When I said "wiring diagram", I meant the car's wiring diagram. You need to understand how and when 12V appears on certain wires/terminals, when 0V is allowed to appear on certain wires/terminals (which is the difference between supply side switching, and earth side switching), for the way that the car is supposed to work without the immobiliser. Then you start looking for those voltages in the appropriate places at the appropriate times (ie, relay terminals, ECU terminals, fuel pump terminals, at different ignition switch positions, and at times such as "immediately after switching to ON" and "say, 5-10s after switching to ON". You will find that you are not getting what you need when and where you need it, and because you understand what you need and when, from working through the wiring diagram, you can then likely work out why you're not getting it. And that will lead you to the mess that has been made of the associated wires around the immobiliser. But seriously, there is no way that we will be able to find or lead you to the fault from here. You will have to do it at the car, because it will be something f**ked up, and there are a near infinite number of ways for it to be f**ked up. The wiring diagram will give you wire colours and pin numbers and so you can do continuity testing and voltage/time probing and start to work out what is right and what is wrong. I can only close my eyes and imagine a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. You can actually see and touch it.
