Did a firmware upgrade on the vipec that solved the misfire problem i was having a few pages back.

Went back for another tune it made 486rwkw on e85. Engine is rb26, -5's running 26 psi

Can any tech heads tell me how to upload the dyno graph as its over 2mb ??

I'll PM you my email and i'll do it for you if you aren't sure how to

Or, you can sign up with a hosting place like photobucket and host it there then use the IMG tags to embed into this thread

EDIT: Here they are

that is a huge number for -5's even on e85....

keen to know spec list too

I was suprised myself but I have dyno papers from when it was first run in on dyno on 14psi, then tuned on 21 psi on pump fuel, then now on E85.

All the dyno runs today were in 5th gear as 4th would just bag the tyres.

Spec list of what i can remember in no particular order is-

RWD Rb26 conversion in an r32gtst

r33 5 speed

hi octane 11 litre sump (rear head drain, nismo oil air seperator going into main catch can that drains to sump.)

1mm restrictor

2860 -5s

big trust intercooler (unsure of exact dimensions but its over 100mm thick and pretty huge)

exhaust is stainless split dumps into 3 inch y pipes into a 3.5 inch sidepipe no mufflers

cams are tomei 260 10.8mm lift??

nitto/je pistons

nitto I beam Rods

Arp stud kits throughout

balanced and blueprinted

nitto 1.2mm head gasket

vipec v44 ecu internal boost controlled

fuel system is 1v 044 lift pump

2x 044 external out of surge tank feeding hicas lines

greddy twin entry rail

aeromotive fuel reg

ID1000 injectors

Eyebrow's are raised by that result... Seems to be a bit on the generous side?!?

What would correction ratio be between AT 9deg and IT 21deg?

+1

With probably the strangest boost curve ever... And -5s hold 26psi @ 8000rpm without any drop off in torque!?!

This is certainly odd.

I assumed the figure was so high as its rwd only?

To begin with the boost was at 24psi but the boost curve flattened off aswel as the power curve around 6500rpm making consistant 430 odd rwkw.

The tuner asked if i was happy with that and I said i wanted to add a litte more boost at the end of the rev range to see if the power curve would continue upwards in the direction it was heading. He then snuck more boost into the engine up top and thats what happened.

Im stoked with it, haters are guna hate either way but it is what it is.

The tuner said it was cylinder pressure that would kill the engine and it seemed as though it was struggling for spark as you can see from the dip in the power curve that looks like wheelspin after 5500.

The tuner had to adjust the boost controller in that way so it would run properly.

I have a crappy photo of the dyno screen from where he was adding more boost. It went 420 on 21ish then 460 odd on 24+ then made 486 up to 26psi

I just dont know how to upload it as its over 2mb. I can send it to someone if they can do it for me?

    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
