I have a 1994 R33 (ECR33) Nissan Skyline GTS-t.

It has R32 brakes calipers F&R and R32 wheel studs.

I need to replace the old worn rotors but do not know if I can use R33 rotors.

I cannot see why not. The way I see it is that even though there are R32 studs on the hubs, 32 and 33 stud patterns are the same, yes???

Can I just go and buy R33 rotors and fit them??

I need help. My car is currently un-roadworthy and I just need the rotors for it to be legal.

Thanks,

Shaun.

What 32 brakes are you talking about?

Honestly. I have no idea.

All I know is when I went to Autobarn to get the brakes, I was told that it had single pot rear calipers for which I bought R32 pads for and the fronts are a 2 pot front caliper that I ended up putting 4x4 hilux pads in, as they were cheaper and "heavy duty". (don't crucify or curse me) as they were the same part number.

The studs are a 1.2 pitch and are R32 studs.

That is all I know. I only had the car for three months and had to do a roadworthy for transfer into my name. That was nearly a full year ago. I am desperate for info. I miss driving my skyline LOL.

measure the diameter of the rotor. measure the height of the rotor (braking part and hub part). measure the thickness of the rotor. then go on this website in the product search bit

http://www.dba.com.au/product_search_dev.php

and see if you can find a match to what you have.

a quick check is, R32 GTST rotors are 280mm diameter and R33 GTST are 296mm diameter.

and the 32 gtr rotors are 296x32 while the 33 gtst rotors are 296x28. You should be able to interchange 32 gtr and 33 gtst rotors.

but if you have 32 gtst rotors you will need to replace them with 32 gtst rotors, or else get some 32 gtr/33 gtst calipers and 33 gtst rotors

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
