lol stevo you might need to steal the vins from another car if you go BLO :P

Mmm wonder id find a GTR with that paint code....

How much does the colour differ from the R32 GTR GMG?? :P

Id stick with the pearl white in true N1 fashion

You know what i give that GMG? 4 thumbs down! Im Rick James bitch

Agreed, white is looking the choice, but there's so many whites to choose from. Damn you Nissan.

Steve-O, dunno if it's the same as the whites available on Skylines, but there's a pearl white that the Stageas came out in that would look great on a GT-R - the paint code is QT-1.

* White Pearl (QT-1)

thats an outside respray in the same colour for $1500

prices depend on the condition of the car and the colour you want to paint it

give the shop a call and im sure you'll be happy with the price

work is top notch as well

$1500 is pretty damn affordable. I kept seeing quotes by people here on the forums saying even $3-4k is CHEAP for a good paint job and I was like, wtf for real?

By "outside respray" I assume you mean they do the whole car minus engine bay, inside door frames (ie. doors opened), inside boot etc?

I have a black (JV1 I think or GV1) r34 gtt with a LOT of fine scratches that a $500 detailing job didnt' really fix .. plus there's a crapload of rock chips on bonnet and roof and scratches on doors. Wish I knew it was only $1500 for an outside respray earlier ... but even so my 34 needs a respray BAAAD, If its REALLY only that much I'm gonna start saving.

Hey mate, Louies number is 0413 581 099, and the shop number is 9756 6797. He is on Cumberland highway on the corner of Victoria road.

I got my car back from there about 2 months ago from a full respray. It went in just for a respray in the stock silver as it had been vandalised on most of the car - it ended up coming out with a similar silver upon his reccomendation to not do it the same boring colour (I was a massive fan of the stock colour but still took the plunge!), which I am very happy with, and I'm not big into all the wanky colours etc..

In the time I had my car in there there was a few big custom jobs and I have to say he does mix some awesome colours and they come really 'flat' of the gun i.e no orange peel in the paint. Most shops go nuts with clear and then buff the crap out of it to get is flat.

I got quotes from anywhere between 2000 to 9000 for a same colour respray, this meant pretty much the whole car minus the engine bay - so all the door/boot jams and the underside of the bootlid was done as well in the new colour instead of the dull shit that stock nissans have in the engine bay and inside the boot. The car also needed a bit of panel work down the left side (minor dents, etc), the quote also inluded welding the boot lock and some other bits and pieces. Louie even did even more on top of that at no extra cost.

There was no chance I was every going to pay anywhere near 9k but at the same time I didnt want to go too cheap. As you have to question the quality of the paint and stuff they are using as you dont want the thing to fade after 2 years and look like the roof of a VN commodore. At the end of the day the saying 'you get what you pay for' applies with spraying more then anything, as there are just so many areas where they can f*** up - pulling it apart, preparing it, painting ans then putting it back together.

If you wanna know anything else PM me, and if you do end up go down there tell him Nick with the fussy bastard with the silver R33 sent ya lol

+ have a look into the Mazda 3 white, looks awesome.

Has anyone else used Smashtech?

I need to get the following done:

- Dent removed from bonnet

- Scratch on drivers door removed

- Passenger mirror scratches removed

- Front bumper repainted

Any rough guestimate on price? It wont be for a while as I'm saving to go to Europe at the moment.. so car stuff is on hold :<

    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
