Swink33
I don't know about the rest of you guys but I tend not to give the car much of a hard time in today's kind of heat. Just don't want to create any problems that could otherwise be avoidable Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254294-heat-and-your-turbo-ride/#findComment-4391505 Share on other sites

htial
I did see a few Holdens and Fords sitting in middle lanes with hazards on... Don't people know to push their cars off the road anymore... In fact... ...that should be a requirement to buying a car... ...Can you get out and push it???... ...If you can't... ...It's too big for you to buy... I've been asked if I can pick up a motor bike before getting on one... ...you drop it and you're all alone... ...and you can't pick it up... ...you're stuffed... I wonder if the words "Vapour-Lock" still exist.......? mmmm....well, I guess they do!! Well, what would I know...heck, I just drive a POS Skyline.......(according to many 'old school' V8 Holden and Ford owners). dezz
To all of those paying out on the Fords/Holdens, how many skylines do you see driving around with 400,000kms on the clock without having been rebuilt? Go line up against a new GT/F6/R8/GTS etc for a few consecutive runs on a 40 degree day, then come back and post up the results Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254294-heat-and-your-turbo-ride/#findComment-4391728 Share on other sites

BeEnAr
Mine runs fine in the heat. Oil temp is just on 70 sometimes a little over. Not as much power as in the cold but in this heat I can't be arsed driving so it's usually a very mellow 1 hour cruise home. On the westgate freeway today around 9:50am going into the city just before williamstown rd I saw 9 cars pulled over all changing their tyres!! Dunno what was on the road but what ever it was they all copped it!! I used to own a 94 EF falcon on my P's in 98-2001 and that thing was awful in the heat! I had to drive it with the heater on all the time to keep the water temps down! Then I blew a heater core and the footwell carpets got soaked. On a hot day I'd come back to the car and all the windows would be steamed up then insidde it was like a wet sauna!! YUCK!!!!
