Been seeing ebay list injectors for R34, and XR6???

im looking like crazy for injectors and still finding it mearly impossible to find a set for a decent price.

not looking for more then 480 or higher then 550cc.

any updates!

Std Subaru Sti injectors are 550cc @3bar (they are pink) they will drop straight in. This is an OEM part - so really really good spray pattern and low frequency control. There are a few companies that high flow them to 650cc @3bar which I've used on a couple of WRX's and they were very nice to tune on the factory ECU.

PS the EV6(xr6 turbo injector style) and EV14(LS2) are 14mm compared to the 11mm denso parts used in the subarus and other denso based ECU's.

PPS 550cc injectors should support around 330-340rwkw.

bah, all these options coming out..

i have a set of Nismo 480cc if anyone wants them, shoot me a PM. 4 hole spray patter, nice atomisation (none of that sard crap) and DEFINITELY a straight drop in. Should see ya to 300rwkw without drama's :thumbsup:

Great news! ... But don't the Sti Injectors cost alot more? Can't remember what my WRX mate paid for his.. but it was quite alot, and that was just for four! lol

the sti pink tops are 11mm? arn't the r34 top feed's 14mm? any news on these FG Falcon top feeds? or has anyone bought these injectors off the ebay seller?

hey Hopeyz, yes the R34 injectors are 14mm,

yes i do have the XR6T injectors but no i got mine off the Xr6T forums.

only last weekend I installed these injectors. It was quite frustrating, but worth the $600 saving, although the car has not been tuned as of yet.

If any 1 follows part or all of what i suggest dont blame me if you catch fire/mame you or any 1 else etc etc etc

things you will need-

3 off packs of bosch plugs (2 in each pack) ACA brand p/n BK402 $13.00 Trade per pack pack

2 off spacers 20MM (wide) 12MM (thick) with a hole drilled 8.5MM $free I have access to a lathe

2 of M8x30 bolts free out of the bolt rack

1M 5/16 EFI hose $10.00

2x hose clamps to suith 5/16 hose

1x throttle body gasket (not needed if you don't break the 1 that is fitted) nissan P/N 16175-31U01

1x AAC valve gasket (not needed if you don't break the 1 that is fitted) nissan P/N 23785-AA001

1x "water connector" to remove air from cooling system. (mine was corroded closed) nissan FAST P/N 14875PB

1x tube of PBR rubber grease for O-rings

lots of spanners screw drivers, skin on nuckels, soldering iron, heat shrink, pipe cutter, pipe flarer

and most of all a huge amount of patience.

a few key points cos i never took photo's. hind sight is a great thing.

first thing remove items in marked in RED

ie throttle body, strut brace, AAC valve, enginer cover bracket, FMIC fan cross over pipe and water connector.

under the blue x's you will find things that if you unbolt now you will find it alot easier later on.

ie the feed side of the fuel pressure regulator 2 10MM bolts from memory.

Below the AAC valve attached to the side of the head is small bracket that has the wireing loom atttached to it. remove as it will foul on the fuel rail when you try and fit with longer injectors.

next to the oil cap ( you can see it when the engine cover bracket is off) remove this bracket as it only makes removing/fitting the rail harder.

get rid of any fuel pressure in the lines (if you don't know how to do this already, put your car back together and pay some 1 to fit Nismo's)

remove feed side rubber hose from fuel rail (short hose at the rear of the fuel rail) just chop it with a knife and watch half a litre of fuel drain on your nice shed floor. its too dam hard and stiff to try and remove when fitted.

unbolt fuel rail and lever up square, remove injectors first.

remove fuel rail (lift up front end of rail at 45deg to motor and wiggle its way out)

clean injector holes in manifold carefully ( i used a peice of copper pipe with the end flared to a tight fit on the machined o ring face. then blasted away with the air compresser) a peiced of sharp dowle to block the hole would also work.

now using the dodgy FAST screen dump.

now get your fuel rail and chop the center hose mounting tab off with the angle grinder(marked in red). (it fowls on the intake plenum when trying to fit injectors)

the steel hard lines attached to rail marked in yellow need to be carefully bent back square with the rail ( you will see when trial fitting with an injector fitted, you will not be able to get the rail on the injector as the pipes will now hit the intake)

cut the steel pipe marked in blue just after the 90 deg bend. put a flare on end of tube.

use rubber grease slide efie tube around the elbow and put pipe clamp on (allows you to do it up away from the intake.) measure hose to the end of the fuel rail and cut to length replacing the stock small efi hose you cut earlier.

solder on new injector plugs.

put rubber grease on injector o rings and if all goes well you should be able to test fit the rail with your next injectors.

I found putting the rail in and pushing 1 cm towards the firewall allowed me to fit the injectors and pull back towards the front and its should just drop in ontop of the injectors.

then if thats all good bolt it all down with the spacers and get it retuned.

there was alot of little things that gave me the shits along the way but the main things were spring clamps snapping and hoses going hard/ deteriating.

so you getting the car towed to a tuner now?

more then likely will set the fuel injector to like 50 % in the power FC and let it get warm enough that can reset it to stock then drive it there on LPG. the gas convertor has a sensor in it that wont let it switch over untill the water temp is at 40 deg or there abouts.

I called them today and got a quote and was told $1020 for 6x injectors plus plugs and spacers.

they are located in victoria and delivery to sydney is an extra $14.00

they come in to sizes 570cc and 630cc. both the same price.

they branded by siemens.

personally speaking for i would go the deatchwerks injectors which are straightfitment and direct replacement for $850 delivered to australia and are made from denso parts.

although like i said before i will let you all know how they go once i install them but i have heard nothing but great things about them from other sau'ers.

hey just thought id post my latest experiences with r34 injectors on here without starting a new thread so here goes...

got a set of 660 cc (could be 630 not 100% sure... anywho) siemens injectors from unigroup engineering apparently they are for the xr6 turbos so i gether they are the same ones you guys are refering to on here... yavus told me they wouldn't be a straight fit and i needed to make up some 9mm spacers... knocked up a set on the lathe at work and wallah... everything fits, nothing fouls and unigroup engineering said that they have a good spray pattern... i havent got the car tuned yet but as far as i know everything seems to be in good order... i paid about 140 each i think with plugs its a heck of alot cheaper than paying up to 200 per injector and you have some money left over for the better things in life like drinking beer :blink:

damn dude you should have gone in the group buys on the xr6Turbo forums. min were closer to about $80 each with plugs.

did you take the top half of your intake off to fit? in retrospect i think that would have been alot easier and i wouldn't have had to cut and bend the pipes.

i got mine installed and running the other day. but every time we loaded the car up on the dyno for some reason the injectors randomly cut power for a split second then turn back on. a sensor was put on the wiring too. It's odd. i can free rev the motor and drive the car around fine. I have since soldered in 2.8 Ohm resisters to bring it up close to the stock resistance. I am not sure if the power FC injector drivers were over heating or something in my Prins gas ecu freaking out.

since doing this it does appear to be running a bit nicer esp when its hot. i towed my father in his navarra dragging the breaks at 4k rpm at 10psi and i couldn't get it to fault like it was. So here's hoping i don't need to pay for more dyno time to find out the problem is something else.

it will be interesting to hear if your car tunes perfectly the first time space goat.

Also just for any 1 wondering the injectors have been set to 54% +0.16MS Lag

P.S i just noticed you mentioned 9mm spacers. did they bolt down fine on that? now im curious if the injector is sitting too far out on mine. although i don't have any fuel leaks with using the 13mm spacers.

    • Gday Thought it was about time I started a build thread! As expected this project has snowballed into a huge financial liability, but unless you’re strong willed and responsible, it’s not a surprise. Background -  My first turbo car was an R32 GTS-4, got my full license and then totalled my Au Falcon a week later, so while trying to sell my RMZ450 dirtbike to buy another car a bloke offered to swap the R32 which at the time I felt like I was ripped off but looking back and seeing prices of those now ($40kish) it was a good deal, I didn’t know enough about these cars to appreciate what I had so sold it before the RB20 blew up. Between here and there, out of 12 cars I’ve owned the note worthy ones are a V8 Lexus SC400 (soarer), a couple of XR6 Turbos and my beloved S15 which I had for about 3 years, picked it up for $12500, repairable write off but she was fine, gun metal grey/pewter and bone stock/unmolested until I got my hands on it. Ended up spending about the value of the car and 280kw, 2 demerit points by the time I got defected and sold it for $14500 (also $40kish in today’s market, rip) Fast forward to the present day, I’m in a much better position financially and daily an MQ Triton (great cars, pipe down Ranger Bois), I cruised marketplace and car sales for a few months looking for another R32, the best deal I could find was an absolute rust bucket half finished project for $12000, until this R33 popped up in Port Macquarie for $18k - unregistered and barely running but decent shape, kept an eye on it for a few weeks and the price steadily dropped, $16k then $15k then $14k, that was the point where I was like shit someone’s gonna snatch this up! It was owned by a young bloke who had big plans but him and his missus just had a baby so smartest move financially for them but big gain for me. So 2 days later I’m towing a car trailer to pick this thing up. Roughly 2 weeks and $3500 later I’m cruising around Newcastle in my beat up R33 all smiles and dose noises! It only needed some basic shit to get it going, coil packs and air flow meter, electrical stuff and all fluids changed, 158k kms and running pretty good, nice smooth engine after oil and coolant flush - when I say coolant I mean it had been filled up with tap water, every gallery and heater element was filled with rust, 8-9 flushes later and still had brown liquid coming out but she’ll be right. The car was painted R34 Bayside Blue at some point but whether it was a cheap job or just not looked after is anyone’s guess, clear coat flaking like sausage roll.  Was rethinking my choices and contemplating life, had it up for sale for $22k - still cheaper than any registered R33 but got little interest, next minute I had an opportunity at work - 6 months overseas for good money, so that was a no brainer, fast forward again and here we are with a 50% finished project. Current Mods - 200ish KW according to butt dyno Was tuned with Apexi PowerFC EBC (old school Greddy Profec)  Stock turbo (more shaft play than a Tinder date gone right) 3inch turbo back Varex muffler  Aftermarket injectors of mystery size, Power FC showed 36% duty cycle at full boost so not behd good size Someone had good intentions but stuck with the stock R33 MAF so we had misfires at 6000rpm due to the MAF hitting 5.2V So far I’ve redone the entire interior with carpet form Car Mats Direct, new Seats and steering wheel from Autotechnica, also sound system by Autobarn (mainly Kicker) Also MCA pro comfort coil overs - Hands down best purchase yet, worlds of improvement over the tired 30yrold shocks Goals - 450kw/600hp on flex tune New paint job - Midnight Purple 2 Engine is at the shop getting rebuilt with forged rods a pistons, new valves and springs, ATI Harmonic balancer, Aeroflow 7.5L sump, rear head drain and oil restrictors as per oil control thread* and cam covers modded for larger breathers, other stuff I can’t recall of the top of my head Parts purchased and to be installed once the engine is done -  Engine loom from Wiring Specialties including these options: Haltech Nexus S3 R35 Coil pack conversion  PRP Dual Trigger kit Fan controller  Other Parts -  262 Kelford Cams Turbo - Hypergear ATR43SS3-ProS with T51R mod (whistly boi) 6 boost manifold (high mount) 50mm Turbosmart Pro gate (plumbed back for legal reasons) HKS Super Turbo Exhaust with High Flow Cat Custom 3.5inch dump and front pipe 1500cc Bosch injectors  Fuel Pump walbro 525 Haltech MAP and IAT sensors Haltech Flex Sensor Fenix Radiator with dual thermo fans LS1 Alternator Kit Oil Filter Relocation from EFI solutions and Cooling pro oil cooler Many other things sitting in my garage waiting for that engine to come back.
