You must have a AASA or CAMS license to compete. You can not get a license on the day. email [email protected] for AASA Forms, the cost is $55.00 I think. Or you can join SAU to get your CAMS affiliation and then buy a CAMS license.

You require a membership to an incorporated club to compete in this event, so that you are covered for your public liability and so that the track is insured for you.

Confirmed spots - 50 only. This makes the event exclusive and will ensure everyone gets a heap of runs.

Early Bird pricing until the 31st March - $75.00 - first 25 spots only.

After that Pricing is $95.00.

Sup regs are done, we are waiting on final approval form Haunted Hills. They should be up by end of week.

I would go but already competing in the Australian Tarmac Challenge (formerly the Dutton Rally) over the same weekend. The last day of competition is on the Haunted hillclimb on the 31st of May. If anybody is staying down there overnight, there's sure to be some action to watch on the Sunday.

cya there mate, ive got no idea how many imports will be there =s

had a few mates to paid to enter and ended up having to back out, hopefully theres not to many cars so can do heaps of runs ;)

How PHAT was today. Even with the crap weather (It rained all day), it was awesome. My first time on a race track, and in George, was a bit tentative, but I managed a PB of 90 seconds in the wet, and Blue managed a fantastic 66 seconds. GTS 11 Managed a 74 second run in George, which was only 2 seconds slower than Antonio's BMW M3 that was there today. With a slight difference of around 110 kilowatts at the wheels, that was an awesome effort. Marc said the GTS still had so much more, but he was as tentative as me about bending it.

So I reckon the ol GTS has a potential 66-68 second pass in the dry, but with Mrc driving it not me, but I reckon in teh dry, I am good for a 74-75.

I loved today, and the Gippsland car club have asked us back to compete again in Car Karna and another track day. They were very impressed with our behaviour and sensible driving, so Kudos to everyone who turned up today, you did the club proud.

Next time we run this event, it will be a little cheaper, coz we are now CAMS Affiliated.

Thanks to the guys from SAU and NDSOC who turned up to run on the day, it was a pleasure to have you here, and hope to see you next time.

Marc drove the fire engine competitively today with a time of 76 seconds out of a bog stock standard car. Admittedly a GTS 2 in disguise, but this car is as it rolled off the production line with some 98 RON and extra timing. It has also covered some 240,000.00 kays with no engine work at all. I can not believe it went so well with 5 year old tyres on it. I was super impressed with the fire engines run under Marc's careful (sic) care.

Wheezy, your car is amazing, I was so pleased to see it run so well today. Was fantastic to see your confidence build with every run. You certainly had it nailed by the time I left anyway, what are the chances of seeing you at the next event?

w00t, what a day.

    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
    • I use FCC car launcher. It has an option for different backgrounds, so instead of turning the screen off you can swipe 'up' to a black screen with no background/icons. (mine has the time on it only). It's kinda nice. Also lets you use gestures to say swipe to go to next song, etc.
