Seeing as these v35's arent that common, it is rarer to find someone who has worked on these cars a lot and so was wondering if you're in brisbane - can you give me your contact for the guy you trust to service your beloved v35. Have been recommend by a few to try GT Auto Garage at Newmarket, they look promising but also expensive. They're also moving away from using Motul oil, and standing behind Redline - anyone heard of this?

Would be great to get a short list of recommendations...

carmen imports. craig does servicing and compliance . he also owns a few of these himself. wife drives a M35 stagea ARX.

Thanks chris, will check out their website of they have one. BTW, want to have you look at my v35 in the not too distant future about the fm expander - want to get my 106.9 station going.

anyone else have other places they take their v35 to?

any places in south side of Brisbane, done like to drive to brendale for a service, that a 30 minute drive for me

+1

I'm looking to get a 2003 model 350GT 2 door coupe auto/triptronic and unfortunately one of the main factors involved in buying is where to get it serviced. I work on the southside of brisbane - somewhere close to there that could service the car would be ideal. What about a workshop/mechanic that say they can service a 350Z? From what I have read they share alot of similar parts and have the same engine etc.

What about on the goldcoast for servicing? I usually do it all myself but i got third party warranty when i brought the car (anyone know the ins and outs with these warranty things? What can you do yourself and still be covered, what must be done by a mechanic?) THanks

i used K&G Automotive Servicing in Underwood 38083321 after someone on this forum recommended them. in teh 10 years iv been driving, best experience iv ever had with a workshop doing a service for me. highly recommended.. ill be booking in there again for my next serve in a few weeks time.

I've used Luke at Auto Co Mechanical/LPG (Woolloongabba) 3891 2511 - I have great respect and trust in him with my car.

I've also used Chris at Doug Maurer Motor Repairs (Tweed Heads) 55366 663 - is pretty cluey on imports in general, which is a bonus and always has time for you, very patient!

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
