Hey guys,

Im helping a friend buy a car from sydeny and was wondering who a good company / service over there was who would do call out inspections preferably. Would have to be a decent all over check with a report. As were from adelaide i have no idea whats good!

Anyone with any ideas or feedback please comment!

and others available below...

All above are quite busy, so evidently, the car would need to be taken to them so it can be put up on a hoist etc.

I've used www.stateroads.com.au for a couple of inspections around the country. Very pleased with the reports. Will also do extra's such as compression tests, leak down tests etc etc on negotiation.

heya

i actually heard some good reputation about them

how much did they charge you ?

ill have a sticky beak at thier website shortly

cost is dependant on what you want. The last inspection i think was around the $300 mark and included compression test and a few other things.

I also paid around $450 for a V35 inspection on a car i bought from Qld, but that was very thorough cause i would rather spend the money checking up front before buying plane tickets etc.

the best part, is on either car i didn't find one thing after purchase that wasn't on the report.

What sort of skyline is your friend looking for mate? I have mine for sale & it was stateroads inspected, still have the original report. PM me if ur interested.

I can only recomend one person and one person only it's good mate of mine Robert from "TUNE EXPRESS" (0414 23 66 99) his own company and he is mobile and very competitive rates but that's not the main reason this guy you trust and take my word for it as I would not let anyone else touch my car.

Thanks to him my gtr runs like it's just come out from Nissan Japan. This guy knows his stuff he also did work for couple of different teams in Bathurst.

Hey good luck with your Purchase.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
