As my GTR32 is still at CRD I'd be pleased to drive your 33 to the display. But you have to promise not to tell anyone :) it's sorta of like taking one for the team.

Please PM contact details.

Has someone sent wheels an email about SAU attending? It's only a week away and I thought in the past, they liked a few weeks notice......

I've sent an email to them about the R31 club going, if you want I can send another reply letting them know that SAU is coming.

i will be emailing the events organisers very soon saying that SAU will be coming with about 15 cars. if anyone thinks that this is not enough then let me know. depending on where our spot will be allocated i'll try and organise a rough idea of a display which will more than likely be organised by model. eg: 32's, 33's, 34's etc....

John will kindly handle the drinks and money and hopefully mick will bring the federal tent. bring your own chairs if you want to sit down and dont forget your sunscreen

Thats great, thanks Luke. Mention some of your members are also affiliated with SDMA and see if they will put us closer together, not that its a biggie if they can't, but it was a good place for access etc.

you forgot 31's...

Looks like i may be able to make this one for sure.

Can you leave a space for two cars please.

One is not a Skyline but it should fit in with them.

Also will meet out there so may need a phone number to contact someone so i know where to come.

Thanks

Hey guys!

Haven't posted for a while.

I'll bring my R32 gtr along under the proviso that my wifey doesn't go into labour

Will prolly get there around mid morning-ish...

Do we know what area we're in yet?

Oh, and a someone to ring to give me directions?

Cheers,

Brad

I'll try to be at the Calwell Servo at 8am. I plan to be at Wheels at 8:30am. Som is no longer driving his GTR but his R31 GTSX will be driven by his wife. I heard Graham with the R30 will be leaving Fyshwick with the R31 at 8:00 if you want to find him. They'll get to wheels around 8:15am-ish.

Sorry guys, Looks like I'm out.

My beautiful baby daughter was born this morning at 8:30am

Cheers,

Brad

awww congratulations Brad. There is no love stronger than a parents love of their child. I'm out too now... unless someone has a spare master cylinder floating around.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
