I am chasing good places in the southern areas of perth, I live near Kwinana, To do a service on My car. it is a big one as it is the first one after buying nad its 130 000kms any way.

Also i need to adjust the toeing as my tires are all worn about an inch on the insides of the front. An there fore need new tires. Any one know a good place or to to get some prices?

This really pisses me off coz i got it balanced about a month ago and has obviously caused excessive wear. (bob jane Kwinana)

1 Servicing 94 R33 GTST

2 Proper balancing

3 Set of New Tires. Maybe 2 only depending on cost.

I am mainly after reliability but of course price is an bonus.

Thanks, Milan

I'd buy all the oils/supplies you need and do most of it yourself, but take it to a proper performance shop to do the timing belt :(

Diff Oil, Gearbox Oil, Engine Oil, Coolant, Oil Filter, Fan Belt, Water Pump can all be done yourself..

Oh Yeah, Milan, try Bob Jane in Rocko for a good deal on Tyres ;)

*bows*

Go buy the stuff first... You'll Need.

Gearbox - Castrol VMX80 Shockproof (5L Containers)

Diff Castrol LSX90 LSD Oil (Stinky as hell, but fun to play with)

Coolant - And Green/blue/pink whatever the hell you like designed for alloy radiators.

Engine Oil - I'd go either Full Synthetic 10W30 Mobil 1, or a Semi Synth in the same brand

Oil Filter - Ryco Z145a

Fuel Filter - Part number coming soon, i have it written down somewhere:)

Spark Plugs - NGK BCP6RES (Gap them to 0.8mm)

Tools - Spark Plug Remover, Feeler Gauge, 3/4" Drive Socket set (for gearbox & diff oil bungs) Various Screwdrivers, A Jack (trolley jack preferrable), few bricks/blocks of wood, Oil catch tray, and Fluid Pump to pump in Diff & Gear Oil..

There's not much to it really, but if you get stuck you can give me a call, I'd be more than happy to help :)

I talked to a guy named Darren (was sent their from Dymatech Racing) he and Dymatech suggested Hancook Silica somethings as they have got them and have got about 43000 k's just by rotating every 10000.

only $170 ea. so thats not bad but i will ask about Simex.

As for the tune it looks like maybe some small upgrades may be in the works. Ie front mount first. So i will probably go to dymatech racing as i like the way he runs his business and it is about 1000m from my house. and i will be bartering some work for him. Thanks heaps anyway.

Hope to meet up wiht you all again soon....

ANy one got any ideas on the next cruise Date/time.... Please be sunday night or any night other than Wed or Sat, (damn work)

Again THanks all for yoyur help.

I had Simex tyres put on when my car got complied and they were around $195 each for 235/45/17. This was in October last year.

Not bad to date, haven't seen too much wear, fairly good in the wet but back loses a bit of traction on wet roads (which just adds to the fun).

Cheers, Al

Prefer Redline Lightweight Shockproof myself.

Oil Filter - Ryco Z145a

Or genuine Nissan for less.

Fuel Filter - Part number coming soon, i have it written down somewhere:)

Bosch fuel filter 0 450 905 002 is bigger than standard, has better flow and fits the factory bracket.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
