paulr33
none of the reasons you have presented make it a good reason to convert your car you should just sell yours and buy a GTST and be done with it it will take more time, cost more and end up with a 3/4 done job by converting it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/259478-help-me-please-im-in-a-bit-of-a-pickle/page/2/#findComment-4467992 Share on other sites
G0DZLR
yeah well rain might be an issue but if your driving or not parked on a downward slope you should be right. maybe putting the seal back there with the washers in place might stil give some breathing space. it doesnt look bad at all. a mates done his R32 and it just makes it look more angry haha Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/259478-help-me-please-im-in-a-bit-of-a-pickle/page/2/#findComment-4468102 Share on other sites

Taso84
How many years have u got left on ur P's? This conversion will prob take ages and by the time its perfect, you will prob be off ur P's. You're better off waiting and trading in ur NA for a GTSt. Less headaches that way. Are you also going to replace the gearbox coz from what i understand the NA gearboxes are not as strong as the GTSt's. Not sure what the law in Qld is, but you might be able to drive a GTSt insured if its in ur parent's name and is the only car in the household. I know in Vic there is some provision for this sort of thing, but if I were you, I'd be looking into any sort of loophole in QLD law that will allow you to drive it. KezR33
Excellent point. To the Browser had a hissy fit. As I was saying. To the original poster, can you afford to lose your car AND pay for the other person's car if you have an accident? Don't say it won't happen, because it does. Justcar and that quite frequently inspect imports that have been in accidents, and if they spot you're driving an illegal vehicle they won't pay you a cent.
