R34 Non Turbo Enngine Light On, Running Rough

hey guys i bought a r34 n/a auto

have had it for about 4days.

today was giving it a bit of a thrasing.

car starts sounding abit rough, running rough making weird noises and then the engine light comes on

i pull over and turn off the car and re start straight away. noise and light still there idleing rough and a very bad smell comes wifting through.

i turn car off again. check oil check for leaking things etc.....

start car and the thing runs 100% fine like usuall.

can anyone help me please??

car is rb25de stock except catback 130xxxks

btw car dosent blow any smoke at all and dosent make any knocking noises..

any help appreciated

need to kno if its safe to drive to work tommorow

Coilpacks are probably shot.

At those Ks get yr timing belt, plugs and coilpacks replaced asap.

yeah + on most likely to be the coilpacks....i had my car not even for a day before that happened to me

best to go with splitfires..........not waste ur money getting genuine nissan .....i found that i had mine dying one after the other and after the third one went i replaced with the splitfires.

ey thanks for that did about 300ks today and no light came on

anyway i can test to make sure its the coilpacks before i buy new ones..?

u could test each one.........but in the end they are gonna die......so just easier to get splitfires and change them............
