Hi Guys,

Thank you for the kind words Matt, glad to see another happy client.

Our website is getting upgraded at the moment but here is a link to see some our installs and retrims.

Kind Regards

P.S ...... on a personal note. These V35's are one sexy car. Matt your car looks awesome. We did a custom stealth install in a black GTR R34 recently and i thought that car was hot, but the V35 has to be definitely on my shortlist for sex appeal.

Hi everyone back from QLD and wow what a drive.

I got to meet the famous Chris Rogers in person and he is great to deal with.

I got the iPOD control installed exactly the same and it does indeed work a treat.

But the best thing i did was get Chris to install 1 box / 8 sheets of Dynamatt all over the car. As with all my previous cars i find this makes the biggest and best sound quality difference.

Im not even going to worry about forking out $$$$ for better speakers and things now because there are no longer any vibrations in the car with any sort of bass level. I am very happy with the audio right now. Maybe later down the line i may go to some focal or rainbow speaker setup and get my amps and subs installed but not right now. Its not needed!!!

Thanks again chris! PS - post the photos on here if you'd like.

PPS - please send me the photos! :pirate:

Hakki did my system front to back late last year.

I was very happy. I provided the ipod integration gadget, which came with a little

wireless remote you velcro onto the handbrake so you can pause or go from track

to track without picking up the ipod.

He did a custom buried floor sub enclosure removable, trimmed it in the same boot carpet

and he did a custom amp install that looks factory. He also did awesome

kick panel mounted floor tweeters, covered also to look factory.

my only (not real) gripe is he is too busy - because I want to go back for some more HKS

controller integration into the second din pocket, and have to wait weeks to get a slot!

I'm intregued by this Dynamatt stuff, I had not heard of it before, how does it work. I have spent hours chasing a vibration sound in the middle of my rear parcel shelf, drilled screws in and everthing, could never quite get rid of it, so I figured it was easier just to live with it, since it only did it on one particular song.

it makes the panel heavier and thus harder to 'move' thats the laymens version.

in the case of one sydney car (BLSTIC) its on the whole car. the difference is quite noticable.

You can get them off US ebay, some places will ship to Australia. Should be able to land one for just under $200 with the exchange rate just above 80c to the US dollar.

I just bought one off this mob: http://myworld.ebay.com.au/audiosavings/

I want to use it with my iphone so having included the new style 5V charger cable was important to me. $118US worked out to $151AU delivered in the US. Since I was getting it sent over I also picked up a Homelink mirror from a guy wrecking his G35 for $50US.

So when they get to my cousin in New York he will send them both over, should be small enough to get both in a 'Small Package' box with USPS so only $13US. Don't know why ebay sellers always want to charge so much for international delivery!

Can't really think of a reason that firmware 3.0 would cause an issue. The charge voltage hasn't changed and dock adapters still work. The bluetooth stack has been improved but that will not affect this i would think.

Mine cleared customs on Monday so should be arriving late this week or next. I won't have time to install until next weekend so will update then as to if it causes any issues.

I'm also waiting on delivery of a iphone 3g specific dock so I can try to make up something to go where the ashtray is, rather than paying the obscene price they want for one of these...

Very neat though!

whooa, that looks so nice!

when u done ur post some pic plz~~coz i am thinking of the same idea with DIY dock in the ash tray

also another question...we all know that PA11-NIS works with the Vs...

I found other type on ebay, the "PXAMG"

PXAMG - ebay

its got the feature for the HDRT - HD radio....not sure if that works on the JDM Vs, or the Oz radio.

So it arrived Wed night after that post and naturally I was out there tearing down the dash 10 minutes later. All in all an extremely easy install, didn't even get to use my soldering skills, all plug and play! Though I had dismantled the dash before to install my FM expander so that part was very familiar.

Currently I have the whole ashtray & cig lighter assembly out whilst I work out a way to neatly integrate the dock in there, so there is a gaping hole with the cable coming out. How does it work with the iphone 3g running 3.0 firmware? Excellent, no complaints. Steering wheel controls work, sounds is crystal clear, I even listen to my podcasts of various Triple J segments instead of the radio cause the quality is better.

On that other connector, my opinion would be don't risk it. The PA11-NIS works perfectly, and this other one doesn't appear to have any additional benefits (song text doesnt work with the pre 06 V's with any connector)... so go with what you know.

So, now time to work out the best way to integrate the dock, suggestions welcome. I will take some happy snaps of install to date and post next week.

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
