@John, Joe,

Sorry but I feel the need to back the rear admiral up and I refuse to violate my policy of not posting on faceparty. Hell pizza is awesome, and I wish there was one near me too

Yeah, but I already knew you were gay.

What dude we met what day?

But yes, Option 1 FTW, as long as you don't mind sitting around for hours while they work on other peoples cars (despite being booked in), and don't mind having to go back and do it AGAIN after they put both tyres on for the left hand side. Price you pay for cheap tyres I guess...

I expect to be buying:

2 x 215/45/17 595 RS-R

2 x 235/45/17 595 RS-R

2 x 235/45/17 595 SS

Also will be getting another pair of SS's stripped off some skid rims and fitted to my advans.

They also do khumos really cheap (KU31s FTW) but since I already have a near new pair of 595s for the front, i'm going to get some for the rear and see how they compare. The grip is not quite as good, but maybe they will last longer...

Yeah seen that, heaps epic

but Alfa 3.2 V6 > RB26

:D

your mum > alfa 3.2 v6 < RB26

thats better

all this alfa talk makes me wanta slap you... break out of it...

Morning guys

I Fucking hate people, I wish they would all fuck off and die

John I was thinking about what were saying about jobs, and I think I have got one that will make you happy.

Dan at ERD does good prices on Federals too, then you can just take them and get them fitted anywhere you like.

Too far away :D

I could take the tyres from option 1 and get them fitted elsewhere, but they fit and balance them for 10 bux and are only 5 minutes from work, so I really CBF

I can grab them for you. Picking my car up from ERD hopefully today.

edit. I just read the whole post. nm :D

Can't find anywhere that will do a decent price exhaust for the golf.

Prices are astronomical. Might try to source one from Europe.

Try Scotty at Scots rods, good pipes, great prices.

ahh the old distance issue, could try Neta tyre services, they are the distributer and are at northgate

They are literally right across the road. I can see them out the window. Will give them a yell.

Yeah thanks for the offer bro, but probably too much hassle to work it all out

Can try Fat Pipes at Kallangur. I hear very good things from many different people, have not used them myself yet though.

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
