Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

A mate from church had his bike stolen from a test drive. He apparently seemed genuinely interested in buying it, then took it for a test drive and never came back.

Always go with them FFS

So, anyone looking for a room mate/new place to live soon? I need to find a new, cheaper place to live by mid march as my lease is up early April. Can't afford to keep paying $260 a week, looking to spend $180 tops.

Other thing with test drive is always take the keys with you, if your taking him for a test drive around the block and then halfway through letting him drive back take the keys with you and hand them to him when you get back in. Salesman at work told us how a workmate of his had a car stolen when they swapped around

By that same token, when you get his licence details, write them down and leave them at home. No good to you if he steals your car and grabs the licence back and you've left the paper with the details on in the glovebox

So the dodgey microsoft phone scam is still going on???

Im rarely home these days to receive tele-marketing phone calls to the land line...

But when i get them i like to have fun... Waste their time and have a good laugh...

Todays caller must have got me before, he hung up on me after 14 seconds... Damn it...

As much as I love the location, what is everyone's opinion on a change of location? I'm easy as to where we go, just seems like less people attending since we left ikes cremé.

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
