Mangs,

Insurance is sorted, hooray :) Feeling a bit better about it as I'm now covered for $19,000. Judging by the condition of Scott's new ride $19k could buy me a DAMN nice example from Japan and leave me with a nice bit of change on the side.

4door 34.

I'm still not convinced about the 4 doors being any more practical than a coupe, but its in dam nice condition either way.

The very definition of a shit bloke:

Also not real bright... p*ssing off bikers and all...

The first reply to the email of this was "Forklift through the doors lift it up and move it"

I'd wager that someone will have flat tyres when he returns to their car later today.

Realistically I think that is a best-case scenario for the car's owner...

I'd walk over the car to get onto my bike if it was parked there

How does that help you get your bike out though?

$45 bucks power bill for the last 3months! Winning! Hopefully the next one will be closer to 0 or credit.

1pm tomorrow boys!

Anyone keen for lunch prior at Market Square???

We have not paid for power for about 18 months, they randomly gave us a $1500 credit. We alerted them of the mistake, they couldn't work out why and couldn't prove that we didn't pay it, despite us saying that we didn't so they just rolled with it.

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
