I put some height adjustable suspension in my car on the weekend. The old suspension was low - 330mm at the front. I'm now thinking 340 front, 330 rear. What are you guys running? The car sees a bit of track and already has plenty of adjustable arms/bushes to get the geometry right.

Have a look at the roll centre.

With the GTST I find if I go any lower than ~345-350mm it looks as if the lower control arms start to level with the cross member (up front) and then if I push it to 340mm the cross member is noticably lower than the lower control arms.

Dare say its approximately the same with the R32 GTR.

I've got the front of mine at 345 and rear at 350 as when the rear is slightly lower it tends to understeer and simply feels a little nicer with it sitting just that little bit higher.

From what I've been told don't go too low as it messes with the roll centre.

My understanding is that the rear should be 10mm lower; See Here;

"Rake angle (or front to rear balance) plays a huge part in how the GT-R corners. Lowering overall by 1" as you say is OK, but you must make sure you keep the front (as measured from the centre of the wheel to the arch) is around 10mm higher than the rear. If you have a neutral (or worse rear elevated) rake the car will understeer like a bitch.

"

And IIRC SK used to quote a 10mm difference. Sort of makes sense as you'd expect the front wheel arches to be cut higher in the guard to give more clearance to the wheels that steer....

Many people forget that as the lower cross member lowers it can badly affect the rear tow and cause a raft of issues.

At stock height for example. If the wheel raises or lowers the rear tow could for example change by 1 degree in and out as the wheel rises and falls.

If you lower the car to extremes you will probably get assymetrical tow changes causing crappy bump steer performance.

The best way to lower the car without causing this is, lower suspension arms like the Ikeya items which lower the bottom ball joint leaving the suspension geometry as per stock

Front 355

Rear 345

Try and get about 6 to 6.5 front caster

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
