SAU-NSW Advanced Driver Training (Great Deal) Nov 12/ Dec 12/ Jan 23

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I konw it is a dissapointment but you have to realize that it costs about $6000.00 to hire out the track for a day and if only 4 or 5 go Aaron will lose out big time.

I would love to go but by the end of it, its going to cost at least $1000 to change all fluids and brake pads tyres ect.

Very dissapointing but i can understand why he cancelled......

Brendan - I pre-paid for all 3 stages. I am keen for the April date so Aaron can hang onto my dosh if we're doing it then. I missed the stage 2 day though and haven't been able to get onto him, was hoping to ask him if I can reschedule and bring a workmate to sweeten the deal a bit but I'll give him another call during the week and see what he says. Very keen to get all 3 stages done but everything gets in the way of good clean fun these days ;)

Hi Ash - (I think that) You are entitled to your Bling Bling back - don't worry about that !

If you can't (or don't want to) change to April you should be able to get a refund.

To let you guys know - I am doing the OP drift day thing with Aaron (Fatz organised) on Saturday 24th Jan. SO - I will be talking to Aaron at length about this and our options then.

Does anyone want to trade (with cash back) on the drift day on the Saturday (ie the next day) ????

Drift day is $150 - so you get $75 back

Hang tight people

B-Man won't let you down ! ! ! ;):( :(

I prepaid all 3 stages Brendan and i've also prepaid payed pete for the Saturday

drift day.

I'd love to do another day with Aaron if I have a car.

YOU LITTLE RIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry guys I know you boys were excited but I should be pushing 260+rwkw by then so it will be an awesome day!!!!!!!!!!!! Im not missing out anymore!!! YAY!!!!!!!

BMan: I prepaid all 3 stages, Aaron can hold onto my bling bling.I will be off on the day regardless. I like the idea of the C3 testing etc on the same day too, I would have to pay for the C3 test but am more than happy to do so!!!!

BTW, in Aaron's defence, he was obviously short on numbers to make this day a go-er, and he tried a number of ways to find ppl...I got emails from 3 places as well as SAU about the day when he was trying to get the numbers.

I hope most of you guys can hang on until april, stage 3 / race driver training is some of the best fun and most valuable around

And I placed a thread in the Events section on the 9/1/04 - so we all tried really really hard to get the number up....

Damn it - I know it's not Aaron's fault - but i was soo looking forward to this day...

Ah shucks - life goes on .....

Picked up lease turbo from Mark yesterday so i will be back on the road again soon!! Im over driving the mighty white charade up and down the F3, but fuel economy is amazing!!!

Anyhows, time to start picking up bits n pieces to get the car hauling butt for the REAL TRACKDAY or should we say, JUDGEMENT DAY!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
