Are you talking about making the actual light ray blue or are you talking about when the headlight is off and the bulb makes the headlight looks a bit blue?

- For normal halogen, I don't think you can get them to produce blue light. Unless, if they are really tinted blue.

- You could get blue parkers (leds) which will make your headlight looks a little bit blue when the headlight is on (ebay)

- If you get the normal halogen bulbs with the blue film over the bulb, the reflectors will make your headlight appear slightly blue when the lights is off. The film is there to make the light whiter. (Any autoshop, or ebay)

Philips Diamond Vision (5000k), most blue halogen bulb you can get to my knowledge. $145 RRP a pair, you won't be able to see anything at all with them on and the first cop that will see you will pull you up. They are mainly designed for show. Better alternative is the Philips Crystal Vision (4300K) at $99 RRP a pair but not as blue. Atleast cops won't hopefully hassel you and you will see a bit better. (They still aren't ADR approved nor do they give much light).

Problem with halogen bulbs is the higher the kelvin, the less distance and light output you get, anything over 4000K is a step backwards in distance and light output.

I had Crystal Visions for 2 years, now have HID's and i couldn't be happier.

You can get the diamond visions of ebay for about $89 PP i've had a look at the diamond vision seen them in one of my mates car couldn't warrant spending that amount on bulbs don't get me wrong they look amazing but i felt and im glad others had realised it but it didn't seem to be powerful as normal headlights as in the light died really quickly and didn't get to far on the road. Also i try to keep the po po off my back as much as possible this is just another reason for them to pull you over. If you still want them Autobarn near me sells then if theres one near you go have a look...

if you already have the HiD kit but with white bulbs then buy some 8000k bulbs from either this forum or ebay for cheaper then the price of the whole kit. (like $30 for two bulbs). but if you dont already have the HiD kit then your gna need to buy that too...ends up being about $220 in total.

waste of time,,,,, increases cop heat (gran theft auto style lol), and you cannot see in the night properly. I dont know about the expensive $99+ bulbs but the $50 and under are crap

All of the above are valid comments...however, I will add this...if you want your lights to be blue, go HID 8,000 kelvins and you will get this effect, 10,000 kelvins and it will be nearly entirely blue with a tinge of purple.

Phillips Blue Vision bulbs will give you the icey white effect but not blue as you desire.

Personally, I have 8,000 kelvin lights in my car and love them. Have not been pulled over by the cops once. Actually, 1 copper one time even said that my lights were really handy for dark roads. So there you have it. I think this topic is pretty much closed.

what i did was putting a H-Tec halogen bulb from ebay which is really good, not too blue and distance wise is fairly better than the Philip Crystal (had it in my prelude). And for the HID thing, i actually threw in a HID fog light since there are only rules for headlights and not fog light=p.

    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
